It's that weird time of year again where television summer series are ending and there's a gap between the ones that will start up this fall.
Enter NETFLIX!
Are there any "must watch" series or movies on Netflix that you would recommend to me and Husby to watch each night as we wind down after the kiddos are in bed?
We have trouble finding ones we like together. I love stuff like Dawson's Creek and he loves stuff like Blacklist. We need a happy medium or something totally different that will spark both of our interests!

My husband has a knack for finding things on NETFLIX for us to watch that I never in a million years would pick myself, but end up loving! (It might take a few episodes to get into - but then I'm totally hooked!) 'Sherlock' is really, really good. (Benedict Cumberbatch is fabulous!) 'Fringe' is different, but pretty good. It must be early, I can't think of anything else:) I can hardly wait to see what things people recommend - I'm always looking for something different to watch!
ReplyDeleteAhhh my husband and I have so many Netflix favorites! Here are a few of our recommendations:
ReplyDelete- Chuck: an all-time favorite show. It's got the FBI/NSA kind of theme like your husband likes, but can also be lighthearted. It can be intense/suspenseful, but not violent or scary.
- Psych: like Chuck, just a little more lighthearted. About a guy who claims to be psychic (in ridiculous ways) to help the police department fight crimes. Some elements of crime-fighting, mostly amazing one-liners! :)
- Scrubs: in the same way that Chuck/Psych as "crime" shows, this one is a "doctor" show. Takes place in a hospital, but not doctor-y like House or even Grey's. Lighthearted but really, really poignant at times.
- Scandal: much heavier government/political show. Good, but can be violent.
- Parenthood: be still my heart!!! Even if you husband won't watch this with you, sneak in some episodes here and there...it's amazing!

ReplyDeleteHave you watched Psych? It's the right amount of funny and suspense. The first season is the best. Shawn and Gus are just hilarious.
ReplyDeleteWell since you like Dawson's Creek I would highly suggest One Tree Hill. My husband and I loved it, we watched all 9 seasons!
