Weebie Wednesday: Sweet Stories.

* The other day Levi ran up to me and said, "MOMMY! I love you ... bad."

Needless to say, I died a thousand deaths and laughed until I cried. Little angel.

* Weebie reached out for his cousin Maxwell while they were both in their car seats the other day and Glam*Ma said, "do you want to hold Maxwell's hand?" Levi responded very matter of fact, "No, hold his elbow."

HA!!

* The other day Levi and I were driving home and just as we passed the railroad, a train started to come. I quickly whipped into the nearest parking lot so that Levi could see the train pass (he loves trains), and we waved hi and bye to the train and giggled as it passed. So fun. A few days later, we were on our way home and it was pitch dark outside. We drove past the parking lot that he and I had pulled into a few days before and Levi started screaming, "Choo-choo tain, Mommy! Choo-choo TAIN!" We do not know how he knew where we were in the dark!

* Weebie loves Mr. Potato Head with all of his heart. Mommy hates the many parts of Mr. Potato Head with all of her heart.

* Every single day at nap time, Weebie cries for my brother. "YUKE!, But I want Yuke!" (Luke). I have no idea why nap time triggers his need to see Luke, but every day we go through the same conversation about Luke being at his own house, not at Weebie's house. I can't get it through his head.

* When we walk to the car, we have to do everything in our power to distract him or else he will take off for the backyard to play in his sand table. Same story when we get home and take him out of the car. He's faster than lightening and you can't catch that boy when he's headed for that table. "I wanna PLAY! I wanna PLAY!", he screams.

* Weebie tinkled in his big boy potty all by himself for the first time this week! No, we are not potty training, and I'm sure it was just a fluke, but you should have seen him beam with pride as we whooped and hollered. Hilarious!

* The other night after I put him to bed, about twenty minutes passed and I heard him say, "Mommy, I need you! Mommy, I need you!" I walked in and he had thrown up. It was the saddest thing, but it was so sweet that he was able to call out for me. It breaks my heart every time I think of that moment.

* He was convinced his vitamins were candy, so every morning he asks for "canny ... canny!" He has finally learned the word and now asks for his "vie-mens."

And, a video. (Excuse my LOUD, shrill voice. I get more excited than the average person.)

I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

  5. Kids really do say the cutest things! We watched one of my friends 5 year old the other day and he asked my husband why he was going to school - are you going to teach your head? What? Yep that is what he said . My 2 tweens looked at me like what in the world. And I just thought I remember when you were so cute and innocent. aahhhhhh!

  7. I always say that I wish my son hadn't grown up so fast, but the one thing I'm thankful for is his sweet little voice. I love all the funny things he says. And at night when he says "Mommy, will you yay with me for just a yittle while" (he can't say beginning l sounds), I do it everytime. There is just nothing like a precious little one and their love of life.

  8. It's so great that you're writing all these things down. I had three kids back to back and I feel like I barely remember their "babyhood". Makes me sad.

You're little guy is adorable. :)
