Thank you ALL for your wonderful suggestions. I feel so much more prepared now that I have heard from you. Overwhelmed, yes, but more prepared. Seriously, you guys had some fantastic advice and know that I read each and every one.

WIth a pen and paper in hand. :)

I couldn't believe how many of you said some of the same things. Those got major stars on my list because if so many of you like it, then it must be worth having! I have started buying Levi some fun little things here and there and - Glamma and Grandpa went to Florida last weekend and bought him some outfits that will make you want to fall over and die. They are adooooorable. Ridiculously cute.

I will show you pictures later this week!

Have a fantatsic Tuesday! You guys are awesome! Thanks again for the fun recommendations!
I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

  1. Congrats to Shark! I only wish I was as lucky!

And I'm glad to hear you got some good tips! Can't wait to see what baby Levi has recieved so far!

  2. Why am I not surprised that your mom bought him come clothes! Are they fancy or sporty? :):)

  3. Congrats to Shark! But I really wanted to win!

  4. I can't wait to see what they bought Levi!!! I bet the outfits are super cute!

  5. Congratulations to The Shark!

Enjoy all of those wonderful, teeny-tiny baby clothes!

  6. Congrats to your winner!

  7. Haha--that's great! I love your "precious moments" comment (NOT the statues :)). I'm glad the post was helpful. I felt so overwhelmed and knew nothing about anything when I was pregnant, so I definitely relied on the advice of my friends who had babies! Good luck! Oh, and yes, the car seat is Eddie Bauer! I love it and highly recommend it :).

  8. I should have responded to your last post, but didn't have a chance. I am mom to one little girl (8 mos), Emalyn, and swear by this item from Babie R Us: Koala Baby Plush Sheet Saver.

They're like eight bucks and you can choose from a few different colors. Buy two. That way every time your kid spits up while sleeping/napping (or vomiting like my sweetie last week from an illness) you can just untie the sides and slap a new one on instead of changing the sheets. This is ideal at 3AM.

Oh, and my 2 cents about knit or flannel ones (they even have organic ones). The cotton ones (like you'd typically use on your bed) are too stiff and don't have enough give when changing sheets. Plus, theflannel/knit ones feel way softer to the touch.

    God bless!

  9. Yeah!! Thank You for the really cute pan!
I myself am looking for a sling for my "little" guy, and and I think I am going to take the suggestion from "William, Megan & Avery" and try one of the K'tan sling/wrap things.
