I typically like to giveaway cutesies and funzies, but today I want to giveaway something that has been wonderful for me. A book!
I've been reading through this book with a group of friends and other young mommies at church and it has been excellent! I must admit when I first signed up I thought, "eh, how desperate am I?" ... but let me tell you, I have been able to relate to every single chapter on some level. And I never even knew I needed it! :)
I wanted to give you guys a chance to read this excellent book and if you're not yet a mommy, it will be a wonderful source to tuck away for the future. Also, I know that all of you know a mommy out there and if you would like to gift it to her, that would be great! One girl in our group is pregnant with her first but has been going through this with us and her insight has been wonderful and she gets to listen to our input along the way. I would've loved to been a part of something like this when I was pregnant.
This book basically lets you know - HEY! You're not alone! All mommies are going through the exact things, thoughts and feelings in this beautiful journey. Yes, it's hard. Yes, the balance of housework, parenting, and being a wife is straight up impossible. But, we can do it. It may not always look picturesque and it will never be perfect, but we can do it. And we can take breaks and not feel guilty.
You know the "mom guilt" that everyone discusses? Well, this book is excellent for releasing that! It has been so liberating for me to know that I'm not the only one who struggles in the day-to-day. We all do. And though all of our stories are completely different, oh, they are so much the same.
Leave me a comment for a chance to win! :)
