Weekend Fun!

{Oh you guys - you had me laughing so hard with the funny stuff you or people you know eat.  Thanks so much for sharing.  That was fun!}

Husby asked my Dad to come with him to a big knife show over in NW Arkansas on Saturday so we came down Friday night and spent the night with Glam*Mama & Papapa.  Like always we had a great time together, so I just had to share!

We have recently become obsessed with homemade pickles so Dad tried his hand at making them Friday night.  Levi was super excited and eager to help!

After a bit, Ezra wanted in on the action.  When Glam*mama put him up on the chair, Levi let out a big sigh and said, "this is really going to test Papapa's patience".  HA!  We laughed and laughed.

What you may or may not know about my Dad is that he is THE most patient person on the planet.

So funny.

We became so obsessed with the pickle process that Dad went out and bought me everything I need to make and can my own this week.  I am so excited!!  I'll let you know if it's a success or a bust.  Hoping for a success because if I can get this down I will be t-h-r-i-l-l-e-d.  Homemake pickles are my life's joy.

Saturday we headed over the Arkansas and got to have lunch at my all time favorite.  And got to have my all time favorite dessert to boot!  Yum!

While the guys went to the knife show, Mom, the boys and I went to the mall.  Glam*Mama treated the boys to a wonderful time at Build-A-Bear, and it was so sweet!

Levi loved stuffing his own bear with the pedal, but it was a little too loud for his liking.  Takes after his Momma.  :)

Ezra, on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with the stuffing pedal.

He would NOT let me put him down.  Hilarious little angel babe!

Levi just loves the entire process - putting in the heart, giving it a bath ... so much fun!

Ezra made a Doctor Bear to look like Daddy!

And Weebie made a Papa Smurf! :)

I don't think I will ever tire of Build-A-Bear.  It's just fun.

Now something you need to know about Glam*Mama, is that when you are with her, you don't go hungry!  There are snacks and candy and goodies and cookies and treats galore!  It's glorious.

We stopped for crepes and smoothies, and the boys were in heaven.

Ezra took a drink of our raspberry tea, and this is what he thought...

Don't worry, baby, we kind of thought the same thing. :)

After a full day of shopping, laughing, and wrangling the wiggly giggly little boys, we all came back together for dinner before heading back home.

  1. I love Build-A-Bear but I haven't been since I was pregnant with James nearly 4.5 years ago! I think I may need to take another trip there after reading this!

It looks like you had a wonderful weekend and good luck with the pickles! x

  3. Your family is just precious! I can't wait until I have kids so I can take them to Build-A-Bear. I have sooo many stuffed animals of my own, I really don't need to venture in there for myself.

Can you believe I have never had homemade pickles, and yet, I love pickles? Crazy!

  4. We just moved to Rogers in October. What wonderful Resturant did y'all visit. I would have been so excited to see you in real life. We live 10 minutes from the mall. I'm trying to get my 5 year old to stop sucking her fingers - I promised of she does she will get to build a bear. Every time her fingers are in her mouth we shout - build a bear:).
