Just Catching Up.

This month has been absolutely i-n-s-a-n-e.  My little family is beyond ready to get back to a normal schedule and to finally have our Husby/Daddy back.  I mean, I just can't even tell you how much we've missed him!  And I've sure had my taste as a "single mother" as we've dealt with this horrific schedule and let me just give them a standing ovation.  It's brutal being the only parent on call night and day! I'm just so thankful for those who have jumped in and helped us get through this month (specifically my parents), because this certainly wasn't the most ideal time to have this schedule with a newborn and all.  Wowza! When June 1 rolls around, if you hear a wild scream of sheer glee in the distance, it's me.

Y'all.  My baby turns three this week.  THREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just can't even believe it.  We have a wild week ahead of us as we deal with the last week of the nightshift (YAY! The end is in sight!), celebrate Levi's actual birthday (stop growing!!) and then get ready for the big party on Saturday! It's going to be so much fun.  I can't wait until party day gets here because Levi has literally been talking about it since January.

I asked Levi early on what he would like his theme to be and was very excited about what he would choose since this is his first time to actually pick!  When he said "I want an astronaut birthday party!" the wheels started spinning and I planned it all well before Ezra's arrival.  I knew it would be chaotic around here after his birth, not giving me much time to plan, so I did it early and I am so happy I thought ahead.  I had 90% of it done and it has made the last minute prep so much easier.

Every single day for MONTHS Levi has talked about this party.  I sure hope he has as much fun as he has anticipated.  He tells every one he comes in contact with that he is having an astronaut birthday party.  Seriously, I don't know what he'll talk about when it's all said and done! Such a sweet sweet boy of mine. I'm in total denial that he's turning three.  Total denial.

So.  If I'm a little quiet on here for the remainder of the month, it's because my life is sheer pandemonium and I don't have time to breathe most of the time, let alone blog.  But I'm trying to not just disappear completely!

Ta ta for now! :)

  1. So cute! My daughter who turned 3 last month was the same exact way. As soon as Christmas was over she started talking about how she wanted a "Hello Kitty " birthday party. It was a lot of fun to plan! Have fun and Happy Early Birthday to Levi!
