Ezra: One Month Old!

Littlest Ezra,

One month ago, our lives drastically took a turn for the sweeter.  The moment that you made your grand entrance, you completely captured our hearts and we've been smitten ever since.  You've been here four weeks, but it seems like so much longer.  The days before you are becoming such a blur because it seems like you have been a part of our lives for so long already!  You make our family feel "right".  I don't know how we got on without our littlest baby boy!  You are the perfect addition to our family.

You are such a little sweetheart - I can't say it enough!  You are so content and quiet that it's easy to forget you're in the room.  Well, not really easy to forget, because I'm always holding you.  I just can't get enough of your snuggles.  You love to ball up and curl right into my neck.  I could let the days pass me by just sitting, cuddling and staring at you.  I can't get over you.  Your soft disposition is just precious.  I can't wait to see how your personality develops as you grow!

You sleep a lot, of course, but you are starting to stay awake longer and more often.  You love to look around at your surroundings and at us and you are very alert! You smile at me almost every day, and when you hear your big brothers voice, you look all around the room for him.  You laughed out loud a couple times this month and it was THE sweetest sound.  I love this age, my cuddle bug.





You are eating 4 ounces every 3 hours during the day, and at night you usually eat twice.  Sometimes you throw another one in there, if you're feeling extra hungry.  You gobble it down and go right back to sleep.  At'ta boy, love lamb!



I can not believe how STRONG you are.  From the day you were born, you were whipping that head around like crazy and we couldn't believe it.  You have awesome head control and can push up and look all around.  You have big muscles and a big neck!  I can't button some of your clothes around your neck because it's so big.  You have broad shoulders, too.  We think you were blessed with natural strength, little boy!



You've been on many adventures this month!  You also went to your first Church service and per the doctor's recommendations, you stayed in your carrier and sat with Mommy and Daddy.  You especially loved the music ... that was the only time you opened your eyes. :)



Baby, this has been the greatest, sweetest month.  I can't count how many times my heart has burst open and spilled over because of my overwhelming love for my precious little family.  God knew exactly what He was doing when He gave us you.  And I will praise Him for it every day.
