I am super weird when it comes to ground beef. Big chunks of it freak me out. I like mine crumbled into tiny little pieces, as chunk-less as humanly possible.
The other day I found a nifty little tool that turned my ground beef woes into ground beef WOAH'S!
Hardy Har Har.

I'm sorry if the sight of uncooked ground beef makes you gag. But you see that little doo-dad in the middle of the pink meat? That's the nifty tool I was telling you about. I'm not sure what it is called, but it turned my meat into this:

Horray! Tiny little meat chunks! Perfect!
I can't find a picture of my exact one online, but it is similar to this one by Pampered Chef.

Mine looks like an X on the bottom, rather than a swirly-doo. I found mine at Bed Bath and Beyond. It cost $7.99 and it rocks my world.
I don't think I can ever cook ground beef again without it. Til death do me part.
You should give it a whirl. You will thank me every time you make tacos.
This is not a paid review. I just really like it.

I didn't realize they made an actual tool for this. I've always used my potato masher!
ReplyDeleteA secret I learned from my grandma and mom- pour a little water in the pan and it helps break up all the meat. (then just drain the meat when it's done) I HATE big chunks of hamburger meat too, really grosses me out.
ReplyDeleteSame here...Potato masher works well for me too!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that existed!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!!!
I love mine...from PC. I accidentally ordered it twice because I have such an issue with meat. I've had it longer than BBB has or I would have gotten it sooner.
ReplyDeleteThat would be awesome when you are cooking the sausage that comes in the tube. That is always SUCH a pain to break up. Do you think it stratches up the pan?
ReplyDeleteI have the one from Pampered Chef and I love it. It shouldn't scratch your pan. I've only seen these made out of plastic.
ReplyDeleteI've seen that tool at Pampered Chef parties, and then tried a friend's, but I'm not a huge fan! I must be weird or something, but I can tear it up with a good old spatula! I feel less successful with that thing! :/ I'm glad it works for you! :D
ReplyDeleteI love my PC one, too. I really like it for sausage.
ReplyDeleteBought mine last year on a recommendation from a friend...I have no idea how I lived without it. I blogged about it too!

I think I'd be better off if I could just manage to defrost my meat first...
ReplyDeleteI have to get one of those! I HATE big chunks of meat, too! Yuck!
ReplyDeleteI have the white one. It has, most definitely, changed my life.
ReplyDeleteI need one of those! I only like tiny ground beef.
ReplyDeleteI've got the one from Pampered Chef and looooove love love it!
ReplyDelete$7.99 -- has to be worth it for that little =)
ReplyDeleteI. LOVE. THAT.
ReplyDeleteSounds very cool! Thanks for the tip. I like my ground meat in small pieces too. :)
ReplyDeleteNice! I made ground turkey last night and would have loved to have had that! Think I'll be taking a trip to Bed, Bath and Beyond this weekend :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing :)
I need one of those desperately! I spend more time trying to get the meat into tiny little pieces than it does to actually cook the meat!
ReplyDeleteI HATE chunks in my ground beef. I mash furiously with a fork the whole time it's frying!
ReplyDeleteYea! Thanks! One of my co-workers was talking about the Pampered Chef one, but I didn't know what she was talking about (what it looked like). Now I know! And yes, I hate big chunks, too...
ReplyDeletehahaha this totally made me laugh! Love that "big chunks of it" totally gross you out ha!! Glad you found something to help with that :)
ReplyDeleteThere is no possible way I could ever make tacos without that "ground beef/turkey pulverizing" tool! I've had mine from Pampered Chef for years and it is the greatest invention ever. Wish I thought of it! ;-)
ReplyDeletei think you may be on to something sister. the sight of chunks of ground beef don't give me the willies, but i think i may give the tool a whirl anyway.
ReplyDeleteI got the Pampered Chef one from my mom as a gift. I love it! My husband thinks it's crazy ridiculous that there is a special gadget for breaking up ground beef, haha.

I know what it takes to have a good credit score or to maintain it. My credit took a bad turn after I took a business loan late last year. I was at 850+ and after applying for a loan, my credit score dropped drastically. “WEBDRIVE AT WRITEME DOT COM” team was so helpful after complaining to them. I’m so grateful.
