7 Little Moments {Week 4}

I always think that I will remember everything about each day when I go to post these moments, but I find myself looking back at the first photos of the week and barely remembering anything else about that day besides the photo that I took. It is so bizarre how the human mind works. This little project is continually reminding me of that. And I guess the point of these posts are to remember the little moments - not entire days. I really wish I would have started this much sooner because I find myself looking forward to writing these posts out each week!

Friday, April 8.

Fri

We met Levi's Grammy and Poppy for lunch at the Cracker Barrel and this is them in the parking lot afterwards. Poppy must have been talking and not smiling, silly guy. Levi enjoyed "playing the game" (checkers) and saying to his Grammy, "you are funny, Grammy". It was an enjoyable but rushed lunch, because I had to get home for the delivery of Levi's Big Boy Bed!!

Saturday, April 9.

Sat

We were busy and out of the house all day. The weather was insanely gorgeous so we found ourselves at the park for a good chunk of the evening. I caught this precious picture and I think it's one of my favorites. When I showed Mom this picture, she said it was the "circle of admiration", the way Levi is looking at me, and the way Husby is looking at Levi. I told her what you can't see is me looking at Husby with the same look. ;)

Sunday, April 10.

Sun

We met my whole family for lunch after Church. We were sitting next to a mirror so I did my best to try to get us all in. Levi and Maxwell are nowhere to be found and my sis-in-law is cheesing it more than humanly possible. I gave her a hard time after taking this picture. It was a great day!

Monday, April 11.

Mon

Monday was one of those "go-go-go" days all day long, both inside and outside the house. At the end of the day, after putting Levi to bed, I drew a nice hot bubble bath with my favorite bath products (Lollia) to soak, rest and breathe. Just staring at those beautiful bottles calms my soul. Love it.

Tuesday, April 12.

Tues

During Levi's nap time, I sat down to record his recent cute/funny actions and things he's said. I started this little journal when he was 15 months old and really starting to become his own little person. I'm so glad I've done it. I've already forgotten some of the things he used to do/say and when I look back on these pages, I'm so glad I've taken the time to document them. I wrote six pages that day.

Wednesday, April 13.

Wed

We went to see the Easter Bunny but trust me, that deserves a full post of it's own. I will write about that next week. Later we went to Target and I put this hat on and asked Husby if he thought I should wear it to Levi's Sesame Street Birthday party. :) I kind of think I should. I'll get him a matching Elmo one. ;)

Thursday, April 14.

Thurs

Oh you know, just another day .... CHASING TORNADOES!!!!!!! I took this picture right across the street from our neighborhood/house. We were headed home from a day of running and got home just in time. Most people were in a storm cellar or taking cover in their bathtubs, but not us. We were outside with our neighbors taking pictures and letting the wind throw us around a little bit. It was a night full of storms, rain and quite a few tornadoes, though none ever touched the ground near us. Phew. We were quite fortunate and blessed.

Happy Weekend, Loves!

  1. I love your 7 Little Moments. What a great way to remember each week. I'd fear I wouldn't have anything to post! I have a 10 week old, and it seems we just stay indoors most of the week.

My sisters husband is a Dr. and while he is gone often she has a paper with funny things that happen or that the kids say on the fridge so that when daddy gets home he can take a look at what happened and not feel left out. At the end of the yr she prints them all up in a Newspaper style newsletter called Kidizms. She send them out for the whole family to enjoy. I love that and I want to do that with my son to help remember.

  2. I have to say, I love your 7 little moments. For one thing, it's fun to see what's happening in OK. It's also a wonderful way to actually look back and remember what was going on! I think I may try to start one of my own. We'll see...

  10. Levi will LOVE those books you are writing for him. My mom journaled for both my sister and I since we were babies. She wrote down important events in our lives, likes, dislikes, etc. I have read some of the posts from when I was younger, but she continues to write in them!! She said she will give them to me one day...maybe when I have a baby? She won't tell me when! I'm so thankful she is doing this for us.
