Like Wildfire.

Remember how Weebie was sick? He got better. (Praise Jesus!)

But....

Then I got sick.

Then Husby got sick.

Then we shipped Weebie off to Glam*Ma's for quarantine sake.

Then Husby got better.

Then I got worse.

And now things are starting to look up.

{Please join me in singing The Hallelujah Chorus.}

I have to say that this was one of the hardest/worst weeks of my life. My home feels like a prison because I've been bound to it since Tuesday (well, except for when we ran out to get dinner Wednesday night before sickness stuck us). I'm tired of my bed, tired of my couch and tired of of the television. I'm tired of throwing up, tired of fevers, tired of the worst sore throat of my life, tired of coughing and tired of waking up in a pool of sweat (yuck!). My hair hasn't been washed in days, my legs need to be shaved, my house is a wreck and I have a pile of clothes that need to be folded and put away. If you could see me now, you would gasp. As Husby put it earlier tonight, I am "a sight to behold".

Little Weebie is the one who caught the bug first but somehow Husby and I had it way worse than he did, which I am so thankful for. He is my Little Germ Ball. My Little Love Bug.

On the upside of the horribly downer week that we just endured....

I've lost some poundage (best part of being sick).
Husby's smoothies that could give Jamba Juice a run for their money.
A greater appreciation for our health and genuinely "feeling good" every day.

Here's to a better brighter week full of health and happiness!
I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

  11. This happened to me when my son was younger. He didn't seem that sick, but when it hit me I thought I would die. The doctor said it could've been because of the rotovirus vaccine that he got. She felt that he had a milder case of the illness. Whatever happened I learned to wash my hands like a crazy woman, and never eat while taking care of a vomiting child. Sorry that you were sick, but glad you're feeling better.

  13. I"m so glad you are feeling better! It is not fun to be sick, at all! At least all of the cabin fever, sweat, and overall irritation of the situation means that you are on the mend!!! It's only when you start to feel better that the mess around you really starts to bother you :D Hope you are back to as good as new soon!

  14. What can I do to help out? Been asking D for days, but he says "nothing but prayers". Got that, but other than that????

  16. It is always the worst when our babes are sick...then we get it and we don't want to give it back! Good idea to send Weebie to your mom's for some Glam*Ma time...he'll love all the extra attention being showered on him...which brings me to the shower you must really want to take...a nice hair washing and leg shaving will help you feel better too!

Before you know it you'll be back to yourself and Weebie will be home with you!! Feel better!

  19. That is no fun at all. I spent last night in the ER and while wearing the ITTY BITTY drape they make you wear, I realized that in being sick the past three days I hadn't shaved! Gah. I'm hoping you all get better SOON!

  20. I'm so glad that you are on the mend. You ain't kiddin', health and wellness is something we ALL take for granted. We just assume we'll be able to do this or that, and then sickness sets in. Thank goodness for Glamma!

  23. That is one of the (only) upsides to feeling ill isn't it? - appreciating feeling well again, especially enjoying food!
