Black Friday.

First off, I hope you all had a fantastical Thanksgiving, celebrating and enjoying those you love. And I hope your pants still fit.

Today is Black Friday, and by the time this posts, most of you are probably already in lines elbowing and kicking people. Okay, you're probably not getting physical, but chances are you probably wish you were.

I know I get extremely irritable in crowds.

But does that stop me?

Of course not! I love love love Black Friday. It is so fun getting out into the hustle and bustle of the start of the Christmas season. Mom and I always say we are going to get up at 3:30am and leave at 4:30, but in all actuality, we end up leaving around 9. Silly us.

I'm never really on a mission for one particular thing on Black Friday, except for the time I sent Husby to Wal-Mart at 5am to get a big screen TV for us - only to have him wait for 2 hours and them sell out right before it was his turn. Anyway, I always wish I was on the hunt for the newest "must have". I'm sure it's totally satisfying to find one, grab it and run for the nearest check out aisle. (While mowing down innocent bystanders in the meantime...)

(A girl has to release her frustrations somehow, right?)

On Black Friday, I'm usually out trying to find some steals on things I already have in mind for my gift receivers. This year, I am almost completely finished shopping already. I'm totally on the ball this year. But you better believe I'm out there with my elbows sharpened and my eyes acutely aware.

What are you on the prowl for this Black Friday? And did you find it?
I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

  1. Oh I was on the prowl, starting at 12am and finished around 9a. I'm exhausted. We went the Premium outlets first. i picked up some Uggs for my lil sister. Then hit the mall for sweaters at Old Navy, a friend picked up PS3, and we did some misc. shopping. This was my 1st Black Friday experience and I'm exhausted. Still have a full day of work ahead of me.

  2. I skipped out on Black Friday this year. But I did see people at Wal-Mart last night at 10pm camping out in the electronics section.

  4. I actually have never been to a black Friday. I really wanted to go this year, but hubs and mom refused to go with me. Neither of them like crowds! However, I'm usually pretty good about getting my Christmas shopping completed before Thanksgiving! I only have 1 more thing to get this year! I learn from my mom, she's the best :) Glad to hear you had fun and you're almost done with your shopping!!
