Hey Blogger Friends,
I know a lot of you are big prayer warriors and right now, we are in need of you. My brother and his wife are pregnant with their first child, a little boy due in December. She is 26 weeks and 5 days pregnant right now. They were out of town for the weekend visiting her parents and her water broke.
She is in the hospital right now being monitored, given meds to prevent labor and they are trying to figure out what to do next. For those of you who pray specifically, pray...
* For their baby. His health, his safety, his life.
* For my brother and his wife. They are scared, needless to say. Pray for boosts of encouragement and faith like they've never had before.
* That they will be able to transfer her to her hometown so that she can be in her hospital with her doctor. If she has the baby where she is now, the baby can't leave/transfer to another hospital. They are an hour and a half away from home now.
* Provision. For every situation they are facing right now. This curve ball affects pretty much every aspect of their life right now - with work, school, etc. So please pray for provision.
She will remain in the hospital for the duration of the pregnancy. As of right now, we don't know how long that will be.
Thank you all for your prayers for my family, and especially for my precious nephew.

ReplyDeleteYour family is in my prayers. Have you read the blog of the Daniel family? I am just a lurker of both of your blogs but the wife Brittany was in DC on business when her water broke at 24 weeks (they are from Alabama). They were just able to bring their son home from the hospital. It might be somewhat of a comfort to your family to read what they have been through.

ReplyDeletePrayers and blessings being sent to your family right now. I had my wonderful twin boys (Brady and Drew) born at 29 weeks. They were extremely small and fragile, but the power of prayer combined with medicine can do wonderous things and now they are happy, healthy, smart, amazing TWELVE YEAR OLD boys! God is great and can do miraculous things.
ReplyDeleteOh sweet auntie, I will keep your family in my heart.
ReplyDeleteMy nephew was born at 26 weeks. He was only 2lbs and lived in the hospital for 3 months. He truly is a miracle. He is now a healthy athletic 16 year old, an awesome big brother to his 5 younger siblings, and an amazing young man! Those doctors are smart, and I'll pray for guidance for *them*!
My prayers and best of wishes are with you and your family. I pray for the doctor's and that they can take care of her and that precious little boy the best way possible.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts and prayers are def. with you and your family and for that precious baby to arrive healthy and safely.

We are praying..
ReplyDeleteWe are definitely praying...I can't imagine how they are feeling and what emotions are going through their minds. Was she having any problems or complications before or was it just sudden?
ReplyDeleteI will be covering them in prayer! I know how they feel! I went into pre-term labor at 23 weeks and was hospitalized- never had I been more scared. But as soon as my brothers and sisters in Christ started covering all of us in prayer a perfect peace washed over us knowing we were in God's hands. I know you and your family will rest in peace that passes all understanding knowing God is control and we will be praying!
ReplyDeletei'm praying right now! i was only 29 weeks along when i was born and i didn't have too many complications. one of my lungs needed a little help, but besides that, i was okay. i hope that he can wait a while longer to meet the world, but if he doesn't, i'm confident that he will be okay. we're all praying.
ReplyDeleteI've been praying often for Baby Black and all your family. Thanks for the specifics. I know that God will work in ways that we can never imagine. He is our refuge at times like these. I love your family so much.
ReplyDeleteSending lots of prayers their way. Keep us updated!

ReplyDeleteFather God, I lift up Whitney's Brother, Sister in law, and baby nephew to you tonight. Lord, I pray that you will protect the health of both mother and child. Keep that little baby inside his mothers womb for as long as possible God so that you may continue to knit together his little body. When he is born, Lord I pray that he would be healthy and strong. I pray that their whole family would be able to rejoice in the life of this baby, and the miracle of life that only you provide. Lord, please comfort this family and help them to turn all their worries and concerns over to you Lord. In Jesus' name, Amen
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts are with you and your family. Hope everything is okay!
