I got this idea from my friend Kelly, (click her name - it's a link) and thought it would be so fun to do!

She was trying to write 100 things about herself and couldn't come up with many so her husband surprised her and wrote them for her. So, a few months ago I sat down and wrote 100 things about Husby and he about me. I rattled mine off in minutes and he, well...he's still working on mine.

Since Valentine's Day is around the corner...and since it's one of my most favorite holidays, I thought I would be cute and post them for him to find on here. You guys probably won't understand most of them, but I guarantee you he will be laughing.

I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

  1. This was just so sweet. I loved it. And I think it's funny that some of his "secret" things are no longer secrets. Hee hehe. Money is rather tight around here right now, and I've been wanting to think of something special for Valentine's Day, but my baby stole all my brains, so I have been stumped. I think I'll attempt to do this for my husband - thank you for the idea. It sounds like you two just have such a special and fun relationship - your kiddo is going to be so lucky!

  2. Hi Whitney,
My boyfriend and I are getting married in a few months' time and I think this would be the absolute sweetest wedding gift for him.I'm so looking forward to learning more and more about him as the years go by; what a sweet example you and your husband set for us soon-to-be-weds!
    God bless and keep you,

  3. What a great idea and how sweet. I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what to do for my hubby - thanks for the great idea!

  4. What a great idea! I think I may write a list for my hubby on paper and give it to him for Valentine's Day so that whenever we are apart, he can see there are a hundred ways I love him.

  5. Sweet!

It's so funny you guys did this, because when I sat down to write down my 25 things I asked H to help me and he was spitting out things about me faster than I could type them! Then he said, "what about me?" And I could only think of like 2 things! I felt terrible and told him it was because he was a simpleton ;) He agreed and we laughed.

It sounds like I'm like D and you're like H--especially since I HATE it when H doesn't replace the toilet paper!!! LOL

  6. Thanks for this idea! This is awesome and another great example of your amazing relationship with your husband.

  7. I did this for Ryan once and he loved it. Kelly is full of neat things to copy!

  8. What a great idea...this is awesome!

  9. Awww Whitney ~ that is so sweet. I honestly don't think I could get Glenn to do that about me...he's weird.

  10. wow! that was incredible! what a sweet and special list! have a great weekend!

  11. So Sweet...Last year I wrote my husband a 100 reasons why I loved him..similar to this! He still has it in his sock drawer

  12. Ok, the 'getting flustered in Customs' made me laugh out loud.
Luke and I are BOTH that way. We are like a bunch of crazies when going through customs! :-)
    This was sweet!

  13. This is so sweet! What a great idea! I think I may have to do this for my husband!

  14. So sweet!

(and tell Husby that I cried when my mom told me about the birds and the bees, too...)

  15. Oh my goodness. That is a lot of things!! I don't know if I could do that in one sitting! :) It was fun to read though. Maybe I'll try it...

  16. That is so sweet! I don't know if I could make a list of 100 things about my husband. (And I laughed out loud at the "you have black people lips" one. That was funny!)

  17. ahh I LOVE IT:) I once wrote a 101 reasons why I love you.. Im trying to find it on my computer.... soo presh whitney!! thanks for sharing girl and have a great weekend:)

  18. i love the idea for a valentines day gift. to frame it!

  19. Oh my ... I laughed, said "Aw" and smiled the entire time! He gets so much of that list from his dad, including how to make a great chocolate shake, being a patient man, being a man of integrity, having no enemies (just to name a few). And, D used to play the piano and trombone (pretty well, I must say). It's a shame he quit the piano. :)

  20. Jonathan uses a sonicare toothbrush too and it makes me nuts! Not to mention the big charging thing it has to sit on. And I was cracking up at the crying over the birds and the bees talk! Tears of fear? Tears of joy? Do explain!

  21. What a precious man you have! Love you! Love y'all!

  22. CUTENESS!!!

And #41 - Have you ever tried to say "mom" when you're sick??? My mom is permanently known as "Bobba" - even to her kids-in-law and grandson ;-)

  23. SO cute. I may have to steal your idea for Valentine's day! :0)

  24. PLEASE tell me you are obsessed with that song lyric...

"I am thinking it's a sign that the freckles in our eyes are mirror images...."

    What a cute post!

  25. Awe, thanks! It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be! :) You guys are cute too!

  26. Oh if you have opposite freckles you have to hear it!

    The Postal Service

Iron and Wine did a cover

    Both are good :)

The song is called "such great heights"

  27. That is sweet! Isn't nice when other people (esp. your loved ones) notice the simple things.

  28. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww that is ADORABLE!!!

I may have to steal it! Loved reading!

Plus, this proves that women can remember the little details. This was so fun to read!

  32. Oh yeah, I can't wait to read what he says. hehe

  35. OMG that is so sweet and such a beautiful thing to do. I love the fact that you and your hubby are so in love, and all of the cute things you said about him. Congrats about your little bun in the oven, may all your dreams come true.

  36. That is so sweet! I'm sure he melted when he saw this.

  37. This is such a great idea. I think I'll give it a try.

  38. Love your blog! Too cute!

My husband actually took out a 100 flags on 100 Hershey Kisses our first Valentine's Day together. He typed up one reason for every flag, and then put the paper back in with the foil! It was awesome, and so fun to see each reason as I made my way through the treats over the next few days.
