It's true.
We are officially weirdos.
The other night, I was lying on one couch and husby on the other. I wanted to ask him something, but I didn't want him to say no. So... because I was nervous, I texted him.
While we were in the same room.
Within mere feet of one another.
The conversation lasted a lot longer than I'd expected. I thought he would give me the answer verbally - but much to my surprise...he kept texting, too.
Here's a little insight into our very weird relationship.
I am the green.
He is the white.

(LET ME EXPLAIN the "go take a leek" remark. No my husband isn't a complete psycho. We were watching Rachel Ray and she had enormous leeks on there and she was slicing them as we were texting. He thought he was being clever. And I did laugh out loud.)

FYI - all of this was happening because neither of us wanted to get up to get our debit card and computer. We. Were. Lazy.

.jpg)

There ya have it.
And we usually can't go through a day without saying "bite me", to the other person. It's an inside joke with one of our friends and it makes us laugh so hard.
So, when we try to be mouthy, it usually is with "bite me".
And guess what I ended up with after we put the phones down and decided to act like normal human beings?

That's right. I got my tabouli.
And it was delicious.
Oh, and the piggies he was referring to, were the "Lipstick Pigs in a Blanket" that I made on election night to support my vote.

Does this resemble any VP candidate to you?
And we finally got our hotel booked and our tickets purchased. More on our weekend adventure next week! :)

ReplyDeleteOh that is funny!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear about your weekend...
Ha! Heath and I do this too! And I love texting Heath when I'm asking for something...it's much easier than asking in person!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear where you're going! Have fun!
You too are hillarious! Hope you have a FANTASTIC weekend!
ReplyDeleteThis conversation is fun to read when I can imagine your voice and that big grin of you Husby. I'm sorry-tabouli is the worst in my book! Yuck. Have a fun weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat is funny. I am glad other people do this too. My mom told me a few years ago how weird my aunt and uncle were because they email each other, while sitting side-by-side at the same desk. So, I really thought my husband and I must be freaks for emailing each other... IMing each other... and texting each other... But sometimes there are good reasons... like 2 good reasons... 2 growing, nosy reasons. You won't always be able to keep a conversation from the prying ears of sweet baby lovie! :D
ReplyDeleteHave a GREAT trip!
He he he. You always make me smile girl! You and your hubby are just the cutest couple. I love your texting conversations!
ReplyDeleteFunny! (My hub posted to me on my facebook! From his office downstairs...I yelled down-I am deleting you as a friend if you don't walk up those stairs and talk to me!..he kept posting...I kept him as my friend...LOL)

ReplyDeleteFound your blog via Mabel's House. Your conversation via texting sounds like something my husband and I'd do. Love it. Good luck with the pregnancy! Just had numero dos in July and am loving being a housewife and mommy of two (for now...). I'll keep checking your site!
ReplyDeleteFunny stuff. What is Tabouli? I guess I'll have to wikipedia it. Hope you had a fun weekend!
ReplyDeletecongratulations on being pregnant & greetings all the way from tokyo! I had yr same ambition since I was a child & was extremely thrilled to be able to be that, in my twenties. I was a wife for awhile before being a mom because of fertility problems but now we have 2 kids - one born in Hongkong, the other in Singapore. It's a great ambition!
ReplyDeleteI'm obsessed with tabouli - Mom makes it for the holidays & I can't get enough :-)
ReplyDeleteMike & I haven't ever done that before...usually, I've lost my phone though ;-)
But we probably would if my phone was charged, in sight & I actually used it...

I do the same thing!! If I get too nervous to ask my hubbers a question, I'll text him or write a note. You guys remind me of me and my hubbersband. :) #socute
