SWEET SIMPLICITY!
Congrats, girl! :)

Terri, if you are out there and reading this somewhere - I am sorry I had to give your prize away! I can not find you and have not received an e-mail from you. :(
************************************************

Okay, I was tagged like 3 times for this and have yet to do it, so here we go!

Six Things I Value:

Faith: My life would be in shambles without the grace and provision of God. He saved me early in life and I have had the greatest privilege in that. He has blessed me more than what I could imagine or ever deserve. I pray that I make Him better known in my life.

Relationships: Life would be pretty dull without relationships. I find such satisfaction in being with other people. I treasure both old and new relationships and in all honesty, I have the best family and friends in the entirety of the world. It’s true.

Joy: I am a “glass is half full” type of person. I like "glass half full" type of people. I love people who find joy and humor in situations and I like to make each day an adventure. Life is too short to not be happy and to truly love the life you're given. I just love mine and I'm not ashamed to let people know it!

Humor: I love a good laugh and humor is an integral part of my life. I can not go a day without at least a few bursts of laughter, and any little situation has to hold something funny in there that I can find. And I always find it. I love to make others laugh and I love to be around others who make ME laugh. My favorite people in this world are the ones who have a great sense of humor.

Food: I find that food is the one thing that everyone in the world has in common. We all eat it and we all love it. I enjoy preparing new recipes and trying new dishes. I absolutely love going out to eat. Whether I am with just one person or a table full of people, I love dinners that lasts for hours -- sitting around with great conversation and excellent food. Nothing says a fabulous evening like a good, long dinner out.

Words: I love to write, so of course, I love words. Blank pages beg for me to fill them, and my eager eyes love to feast on them. I am usually never at a loss for words. I’ve just got too much to say.

Six Things I Do Not Value:

Negativity: If there is something that really irks me, it is “poor me” stories and “just being honest” remarks. Being honest does not mean being rude and being honest does not mean you have to be down on the world. Some people claim that their “honesty” makes them “real”. Being real does not mean dumping your life problems, anxieties, personal failures and frustrations on those of us who are otherwise having a happy go-lucky day. (I'm talking about people who are constantly seeing bad in every day-to-day situations - NOT if you have legitimate life things that are wearing on you - that's entirely different.) Let’s stay positive, people! And of course, I understand if you have a bad day and need to vent (because I definitely have those days too!), but all the time? It just gets annoying. And it really pushes people away from you. No one wants to be around a Debbie Downer. Mrh-mrh-mrrrrhhhh.

The Value Menu at McDonalds: I do not value it because I do not use it. Why don’t I use it? Because large French Fries are not an option on there.

Rushing: With the exception of when I am cleaning, I am a take-it-easy kind of girl. I do things at my pace and rushing gets me all worked up and anxious. People who are rushing around all the time, so much that they can’t even stop to look you in the eyes, make my blood pressure jump up. It just makes me nervous and jittery.

Women Drivers: They’re just bad. Any incident I have ever been a part of or witnessed has been a woman’s fault. I think it’s because whereas a man can only focus on one thing at hand (driving), a woman is thinking/doing a thousand things. And so they crash into the back of me at stop lights (while I’m sitting STILL) at least twice a month.

Uggs: Sorry. I just have no love for the Uggs.

Laziness: Seriously. There is just no excuse for it. It grosses me out.

Oh, and here is who I will tag to do this, too. YOU!!
Happy Weekend!! :)
I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

  2. I heart "humor" too. *sigh* Without God and laughter, I would just be a hot mess.;)

And even though I sometimes drink a Starbucks while singing along with *kid rock* (whispering) while driving my car, I promise not to rear end you while you are sitting still in the privacy of your own car.;)

    Have a great weekend!
    God Bless,
    Amy:)

Ty would completely agree with you on the women drivers comment. I don't even know why I bother to drive when we are together. He gets very tense!

  6. i'm so sad that I didn't win! :( It was SO cute! Maybe I'll just add it to my Christmas list :) I like your value and not value, especially the value menu at McDonalds! Although, I have to disagree with your un-Ugg love. Although they are not the most fashionable or inovative style of shoe, they have kept me warm on MAnY a cold days here in Indy!
Oh, and I haven't asked, are you going to find out what your having, or share your name before it's born?! Just curious! Livign vicariously through others ;)

  12. Sorry, I am one of those bad drivers, I'll admit it...however-you are only at risk if you are in my driveway! I have hit my hub.'s parked car twice...yep...and the fire hydrant at the end and ripped off my own bumper....I have never had a moving violation, though...

  13. You, my friend, are funny! I am with you on humor. I have laughed at a funeral. Not good. Started out as a nervous giggle, then went on to a full shoulders shruggin up and down silent belly laugh. Again, not good. Humor has gotten me through a lot of painful situations:) And you know what?! Humor will get you through the most difficult times of parenting:)
