Mamma Mia!!

Let me introduce you to my Momma.

She is hands down, the most fabulous woman you will ever meet. She is fun, hilarious, sweet, kind, generous and the list continues. She is everyones best friend and has NEVER met a stranger!

We have everything in common: sense of humor, taste, entertainment, traits...and it is very strange how much our lives parallel each other. You will learn a LOT about my momma through this blog, I am sure.

Here are some pictures of us this weekend in Dallas. I love this setting on my camera! It makes us look so bright and vibrant! Hehe...

Wait! Let me explain!

You know how Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen always have that weird expression on their face when they take pictures? Like they are making duck lips? Well, Mom read in a magazine that they say "PRUNE" when being photographed....so, we said prune all weekend and ruined most of our pictures.

Notice the scary weird shape my bottom lip takes when I say that word. Strange, huh?

We have similar shaped eyes. But very different colors.

Since Mom made us be Mary Kate and Ashley....I made us be Paris and Nicole. Ridiculous? Yes. Very much so.

Here we are after a big BBQ dinner. I have a giant peppercorn in my teeth. Can you spot it? If you can, you win.

Us after a long, tiring day of shopping. We were beat! And stuffed. We just gorged on Mexican food.

One of my favorite things about Momma is how SILLY she is! She is always coming up with outrageous ideas and she just makes me laugh constantly.

She made me take this enormous flower out of an arragement to stick in my hair for a photo. It's a little large, Momma, wouldn't you say?!

Hold tight and you just might meet the rest of my family soon and very soon. :)
I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

  4. lol, I LOVE your mom! I think you're right, our moms would get along great!!! Also, I have my mom as "Momamia" in my phone, so I thought your title for this blog was cute!!
Thanks for the nice comments on my paintings! And, the painting of my parents is supposed to be faceless! My mom had seen a painting like this, and loved it because even without the faces you could tell who the people were, so for their Anniversary a few years ago, I painted this for them! Andy even taped me while I was painting, and we fast forwarded it so the video is only about 12 minutes long. They cried and loved it! :D

  7. Your mom is obsessed with saying "prunes" in pictures. She made mom and me do it for a picture when we had lunch. Love her to pieces.

  10. It looks like you have so much fun together. I also get on really well with my mum and I really miss living near her since we moved away last year.

I loved the crib picures too, but I had the same thought as some others regarding 'spit up' (we just call it 'sick' over here!). I had some pretty flounces on the moses basket I had for my daughter and there were many occasions where the elegant basket had a sheet draped over it because the the frills were in the washing machine!
