I'm Not Crazy...It's a Great Idea!

I came up with a fantastic idea a few months before I became pregnant. Would you like me to share it with you? You have to solemnly swear that you will not take my idea and run with it. You have to promise that you will not invent my idea and make millions off of my genius plans (and that if you do anyway, you will share it with me). You have to swear on your life that you will not mutter a word to this to anyone you ever meet. And that our secret will be safe now and forevermore.

Got it? Pinky swear? Scouts honor? Cross your heart, hope to die, stick a needle in your eye?

Now that we have that out of the way…let me share.

Imagine…

A restaurant for pregnant women. With a buffet of things they crave. Pickles, ice cream, mashed potatoes, potato chips, macaroni and cheese, cake, pasta.…having weird combinations of food available that regular people don’t think about. Of course there would be all the regular food, meats, veggies, fruits, etc., so that everyone else in the family would enjoy, but the main focus being on the pregnant women and their food cravings!

HOW FUN WOULD THAT BE?!

I would poll pregnant women around the US and get a feel for what the majority crave. I would implement those items into my menu, no matter how strange.

I would also have a tray of hors d'oeuvres delivered to each table, complete with baby back ribs, baby corn, baby spinach and baby carrots.

I would name it “The Belly Buffet” or “The Bump Bistro” or “The Gestational Grill” (Ew), or “The Embryo Eatery” (Double Ew) or “The Tummy Tearoom” or “The Bambino Bistro” or “Lovies Luncheon” or "Pickled Pink!" …I could dream these up all day.

Each pregnant mommy would get special attention while dining, complete with a tiara to wear and free preggo polo shirt that has a small rhinestone stork on the pocket. I would have one special seat at each table – a wing back leather chair for the mommy-to-be, of course. She gets to drink out of a golden goblet and eat off of a silver platter.

Each dessert is served out of a crystal mini baby carriage.

At the end of the meal, I would hand out chocolate mints to the family, but for the pregnant lady – she leaves with a Preggie Pop.

Oh, and if the mommy presents a photo of her ultrasound with her check, she get's HER meal for free! And the photo would go up on the "wall-o-fetus'" with the other sweet ultrasound photos of past customers.

Would YOU visit my charming little eatery?
