The best part of 2020 was that it gave us a taste of simpler times. More time outside, more time together, just more time in general. In the year where everything was cancelled, there was so much that wasn't.
Restaurants were cancelled, but picnics were not!
Birthday parties were cancelled, but precious friends were not!
Team sports were cancelled, but individual sports were not!
Swimming pools were cancelled, but creeks and rivers were not!
Hair appointments were cancelled, but e-salons and daughters who can YouTube were not!
Vacations were cancelled, but stay-cations were not!
Easter services were cancelled, but an Easter Egg Hunt in our un-finished home was not!
Group gatherings were cancelled, but weenie roasts on the town mountain with friends was not!
Movie theatres were cancelled, but books and imaginations were not!
Zoos and Aquariums were cancelled, but fishing was not!
Concerts were cancelled, but caves were not!
Farmer's Markets were cancelled, but still supporting small businesses was not!
In-store shopping was cancelled, but (thankfully) online shopping was not!
Disneyland was cancelled, but family adventures were not!
Church was cancelled, but JESUS WAS NOT!
When you look for the good, you'll always find it!
