One Big Fat Update.

I keep having intentions of writing all these blog posts about everything going on with us right now, but then more things happen and I just simply do not have one free ounce of time right now.  So, here's to one big giant update dump.  Enjoy! :)

* The Move.

The big move up north is a short three weeks away.  We've known we were going for 6 months now, so you would think that would be ample time to prepare.  And it has been, but now that we are so close, time is absolutely flying and I can't seem to slow it down no matter what I do.  It feels like everything is flying at us like meteors and we're ducking and dodging until we reach the end.  Seriously, it's been NUTS around here.  Our house has been on the market for 1 month now.  We've had several showings and one very successful open house.  A few couples seem promising, but we're trusting God to send the perfect people for our charming little home.  I know it will happen in His timing, so we are just waiting to see how it all pans out.  I have complete peace that it's all in His hands!

But.  Keeping my house "show ready" at all times is a hilariously impossible task that makes me want to pull my hair out along with my brains.  I told Husby I can't wait til someone buys it so I can let it go to pot.  Hahaha! Of course, I'm kidding, but seriously if I have to smell Swiffer Wet Jet cleaner one more time I may just very well lose my sanity.  And I'm tired of making my children act as if they live in a museum.  But if y'all could pray along with us for the sell of the home to the perfect buyers and for a smooth transition to PA (especially for our little Levi) I would be most appreciative.  I'll keep you all posted on pre, during, and post transition as best as I can, but it will probably be sporadic.  (If you're interested on day to day happenings, follow me on Instagram - whit_neenee.)

* Graduation.

Husby graduated from Residency the other weekend and I could not be more proud.  He has taken on so many responsibilities, this year especially, and he finished out these past three years with such excellence! (Has it really been three years since he graduated from Medical School?  GOOD GRIEF!)  I was just thinking the other day that had I been able to see all that has happened on our journey through Medical School and Residency at the starting point, it would have been terrifying to take the first step.  But now, as we sit on the other side ... at the end of the road, I see what a beautiful adventure it has been.  And we've "picked up" two beautiful little people along the way! :)

We went into this thinking that after residency he would be finished - dunzo - DONE with training.  But the Lord led Husby to specialize in Sports Medicine, and so after this year of Fellowship in PA, we can finally go, settle, and begin.  God is capping off this whole thing with the biggest adventure yet, and I can't wait to see the other side of this next year.  One thing I know ... He is faithful!

* Family.

We've been spending as much time as we can with our dear families, since we know we won't be so fortunate next year to pick up and spend the day with them as we please.  The boys love their grandparents and cousins so fiercely, and we've shared many a wonderful day with them!

My precious grandma organized one big last shebang before we leave, and we all had so much fun together eating and laughing.  Such sweet times with such sweet people!

We've had so many holidays thrown in there lately - Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day and both of the boys' birthdays, so we've been fortunate to see lots and lots of family lately!  I'm going to tie them all up, throw them in a bag and steal them for a year.

* Stuff.

Husby and I went on one of the last date nights that we'll see for ... well, a year, the other night and it was the most perfect one.  We went to see Jerry Seinfeld and literally laughed until we cried.  It was exactly what the doctor ordered and the best night out with my best guy.

It's funny because the last time we saw him live was the night before I had Levi!  I told Husby that we apparently love to see Jerry before big life changes. :)

We've been spending lots of time outside soaking up the dog days of summer in our big and beautiful back yard, neighborhood park, and riding bikes around the 'hood.  Every time we're out there I realize just how much we're all going to miss it!

Life is good here in our little corner of the world.  Busy, crazy, and full of change and unknowns ... but good.  I find myself singing these lyrics all of the time as I give each day to Him.

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust Him more!
