Our Day of Love.

Valentine's Day is a big day in our house!  I love going all out in making it a fun day for my family and giving each other extra kisses and squeezes all day long.  I hope the three of them always know just how MUCH I love and cherish them.

The boys woke up that morning to a fun breakfast table that Mommy Cupid stayed up decorating the night before.

I just went with all the things boys love - dogs, birds and cars.  Win!  A hodge podge of fun!

They were SO surprised when they woke up.  Oh, I love it!

And let's stop to talk about how cute these are, can we?

It was one of their favorite gifts! I found them on Etsy and I'm sort of obsessed with them.

A few months ago, we were driving down the road, and out of the blue Levi said, "do you remember when I woke up on Valentine's Day and there were hearts hanging from my door? How about you do that again, Mommy?!" I laughed so hard, but I was so happy that he remembered that and it was a special memory for him.  That night, I ordered the heart strings.  I plan to do it every year for them.  It's so simple and they absolutely LOVE it.

Husby had to go in early that morning, so I postponed the big breakfast until the next day and I took the boys to Chick-fil-A that morning for some chicken minis and then I floated around town playing cupid to some special people in my life.  FUN!

The official V-day breakfast was heart shaped Monkey Bread and a breakfast casserole. :)

Ezra never ever lets me rock him to sleep.  He will sit forever for rocks and cuddles, but when it comes time for actual sleep, he prefers to be in his crib.  For whatever reason that day, he wanted me to rock him to sleep and he just laid and smiled at me with every kiss I gave that angel baby.  He is such a love.

Before I went in to rock him, Levi asked if he could make me a valentine. (MELT!) I set him up with his craft supplies for some other valentines he had made earlier in the week and he promptly told me to leave the room.  When I walked out of Ezra's room from rocking him, Levi greeted me with the most precious valentine that ever there was.

He said, "that's me and you, Mommy. And it says how much I love you."

And then and there I laid down and died a thousand deaths.  MY ANGEL.  I love that baby boy more than words!

Literally, 10 seconds after that little cry/love fest with my eldest, there was a knock on my door.

The most beautiful bouquet of flowers from my Husby.  I sat there in tears that in ten minutes time, my three boys had shown completely different tokens of affection for me ... all unprompted.  I was just feeling the LOVE, you guys! :)

When Husby got home from work, we exchanged cards and gifts (again, TEARS!) and then we all went on a family date to the Cheesecake Factory.  How I LOVE these people God so graciously gave to me.

We had a sweet time and capped the night off with Family Movie Night at home, per Levi's request. He chose Gnomeo and it made us laugh because it's a love story.  Perfect pick, Weebie!

The best Valentine's Day with my most precious valentines.

  8. I have 5 boys who have convinced me valentines day is a girls day. Lol. This year I chose to celebrate them anyway. They were so blessed! I made them these cool surprise balls filled with goodies (fun, small gifts wrapped up into crepe paper. Pretty and super fun).
I think your cute kids would love them. I wrote a post about them here:
