Christmas Day

We were able to spend Christmas Day and a few days after with my in-laws and we had a great time, as always.  It was very special since Husby's sister and her family were in.  They live in Tennessee, so we just get to see them once a year or so.  We got to meet and love on our newest little nephew, which was such a treat.

We started the morning with a delicious breakfast casserole and opening gifts.  The boys were so excited to see each other!

Husby's parents started a new tradition of going around and saying what we are thankful for.  This is Levi saying that he was thankful for "Jesus dying on the cross for our sins".  :)  So sweet.  They, too, asked the boys to tell them the story of Jesus and they nailed it!  So sweet.

Here they are putting on their matching superhero belts.  They all got a different hero!

And what's a little boys' Christmas without a sword!  Good call, Poppy.  Here's Levi about to pummel my Bro-in-Law! :)

Husby and I got the oldest boys Power Ranger toys and my goodness gracious, they played Power Rangers for 3 days straight!!

It was certainly a hit!

Ezra was sick and took a nap while we opened gifts, so he got to open the rest of his later.  Poor baby!

We had a huge lunch with Husby's grandparents and all of us and were stuffed to the gills of good cookin'.  There was a lot of sickness going on so we all just laid around catching up for the rest of the day and it was good fun.

That night, we kept with tradition and went to a Chinese buffet!  It was scrumptious, even though I had been looking forward to the chocolate ice cream the whole way there and they were OUT.  Ha!  I still managed to eat lots of other things, though.  Of course.  Like chinese donuts. ;)

The next few days were filled with fun as we went and met Husby's cousin's and their families at Incredible Pizza and were able to catch up with most of them.

We were also able to get family photos made but I've only seen a couple so far.  It was quite a circus getting those made!

It was a great Christmas 2013.  We are so blessed by our families and the time we are able to spend with them, and then influence they each have on our children.  God is good!

  3. That last shot of the four of you is precious! Oh, and enjoy this last "warm" Christmas--funny how we live in the DFW area now and are complaining of temps in the 40's but I remember my college years in Western NY (not far from where you're going).
