Glam*Ma & Papapa Camp!

My Mom asked my brother and me if she could have Levi and Maxwell for a few days this summer for their first annual Glam*Ma & Papapa Camp.  She planned and prepped for this four-day excursion for a whole month.  They stayed Sunday - Wednesday and let me tell you, they had the time of their lives!

The purpose of the camp was what my Mom calls "GBS" - Glam*Ma Bible School.  (We laughed for 5 minutes when she came up with that term.)  Each morning after breakfast, they went outside and had a time of Bible study.  They ate it up.  Levi is still telling me Biblical truths he learned and it's absolutely amazing.  The thing that really knocked me off my feet was when he told me "the Hebrew name for God is Elohim - God is the Creator."  Uh, I left my kid speaking English and he came back speaking Hebrew! Ha! It was awesome.

Isn't that precious?  They had a new shirt to wear for each day of camp, and they said different things each day.  Super sweet!

After GBS each morning, they went exploring.  Glam*Ma had a backpack waiting for each boy with lots of exploration gear.

They even had safari gear and caught real bugs.  Every little boys dream!

After exploring, they had craft time each day.

The first day they painted bird houses (brave Glam*Ma).  The second day they made stepping stones.  Presh!  Ours is sitting proudly in our flower bed and Levi beams every time he sees it.

It's just priceless to me because he put each and every one of those stones in there.  Just precious!

They did a few other crafts that I don't have pictures of, but these were the big ones.  Cute.

Some other of their adventures included ...

Feeding ducks.

Swinging.

Swimming.

Catching ants and putting them in an ant farm.

Ice cream.

Fun with Papapa.

And a lot of other things that I don't know about and don't have pictures of.  :)  (This post is based on the pictures she sent me each day and the things she told me once camp was over!)

At the end of each day, Mom would give them a "prize bracelet" based on what she observed about their attitudes that day.  Such a great idea! And just so sweet.

These boys are blessed to have people who truly invest in them, sacrificing their time and energy to pour love and Truth into their little lives. Levi and Maxwell may not see past the "fun" part of it right now, but I see it, and I appreciate it so very much.  Glam*Ma & Papapa Camp was so good for these boys.  They can't wait to go back next year ... but we are trying to talk her into having a Fall or Winter version, too.  HA! :)

These boys l-o-v-e each other.  I'm so glad they have a best friend in one another.

And yeah, I'm really thinking Mom needs to hold a "Mommy Camp", complete with Bible study, food, massages, mani/pedis, etc.  Pretty sure I'd be all over that. ;)
