I Resolute.

* To "unplug" more & more to always be present with those I'm with.

* To spend quality time in the Word each day and to nurture an ever growing and maturing prayer life.

* To be the best I can be - as a wife to my husband and Mommy to my boys.

* To memorize 4 new Bible verses/passages each month with Levi.

* To ride in the local bike race with my Husby, some of our friends and my Mom!

* To cut processed sugar from our lives except for one baked (by me) treat per week.

* To live healthy - mentally, physically and spiritually.

What are YOUR resolutions?
I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

  1. Minus the bike race and the scripture memory (although I should add that to the list!) our goals/resolutions are the same!

But I also had to add better time management to my list. I'm so bad about being late. I hate it!! I will be on time this year!

    2. Spend more time with my family and friends
    3. Play more and work less :)
    4. Eat and cook healthier

I love reading your blog and I look forward to reading about how you keep all of these!

  3. To relax more and let go. I'm tired of constantly being worried about money when we make enough to meet our needs. That's not to say I'm not going to save but I need to learn to live a little more and enjoy it.

  4. Cutting out sugar is such a good one! I am always in a better mood when I don't eat a lot of sugar.

I always set goals instead of resolutions (which I think is what you've done too)

I bought a new DSLR camera and I'm going to learn how to use that. I've also signed up for a beginner French class :D

  5. That's a great list! Being the best wife I can be is definitely on my list. Natural cane sugar is a great substitute because it is more natural and better for your body ;)

  6. Great resolutions! I made a list based on what my three month daughter has taught me. Ha

And good luck eliminating the sweets! I am not sure I could do that.

  7. These are wonderful resolutions and also very realistic. I am hoping to be a better wife in 2012, I am also hoping to bring more of God into our lives this year, hopefully attend church regularly and start reading the Bible with my daughter. Happy New Years to you!

  10. Ooo...cutting out processed sugar is a good one, I mentally put that on my list too. And I like the idea of still having a treat made by mommy!
I too need to unplug more, *sigh*. Tough when surrounded by technology. I'll often exclaim, "I just want to live in a hut in Africa!" when I'm feeling overwhelmed with the silly stuff that gets me down.
It would be fun to update us on how cutting out sugar goes. Easier than you thought? Substitutes for some fav treats?
Happy new year to you and yours!
