Woo hoo! I remembered to document my week intentionally! :)
Friday, January 20

We had a fun little shopping day! We walked into a store full of accessories, purses and all things feminine and Levi exclaimed, "look at all of these Mommy things!" :) Then he tried showing every sales lady in every single store his Transformer. This child has never met a stranger.
Saturday, January 21

Daddy had the weekend off! What a treat! We spent the day out and when we took this pictures I said, "why are we so bright", and right before I snapped the pic, Husby said, "because we're vamps". And then I died laughing. Apparently, Weebie isn't so "vampish".
Sunday, January 22

After church, we took Levi to the movie theatre to see Beauty and the Beast. He absolutely LOVED it and had a blast. He kept frowning when it ended and we thought he was going to cry. It was such a fun day.
Monday, January 23

I can't remember what we did that day, but that evening when Daddy got home, he and Weebie had their nightly light saber battle. They turn out all the lights and fight it out. Levi calls them "light savers", and I'm pretty sure it's his favorite time of day.
Tuesday, January 24

I had a play date/luncheon with a couple of my friends and their little ones - who happen to be Levi's little friends! :) Us ladies laughed, chatted and noshed on girly food like chicken salad, while our boys played their hearts out. I forgot to take a picture, but that evening while we waited for Daddy to get home, Levi and I played bow & slingshot. He always wants me to shoot the bow and he uses the slingshot. He calls himself David as we play. (David & Goliath is his favorite Bible story.) Have I mentioned I LOVE having boys?! And their toys are too much fun. :)
Wednesday, January 25

I didn't feel well at all this day. I was sick to my stomach, it was raining and so Levi and I laid low, stayed in our jammies, made a crock-pot supper and spent the day playing and napping.
Thursday, January 26

Levi had "Grammy/Poppy Day", and so Mommy had errand running day. I usually just grab something to eat in my car when I'm out alone, but this day I decided to go to my favorite fast casual restaurant and eat my favorite sandwich - the chicken TBM at Cosi. Delicious! I got a lot accomplished and it was fun to shop leisurely without any time constraints due to naps and such.
And there we go! 7 moments out of the past 7 days! :)

I need to do this...what a fun reminder of the simple everyday moments.
ReplyDeletelittle weebie is the cutest kid.
ReplyDeleteLight saber fights, how fun! I'm tempted to get in my car right now and drive across town for some Cosi.
ReplyDeleteThis is so precious and such a great idea to do with children!
ReplyDeleteMy little guy's favorite Bible account is David and Goliath too! We play that all the time!
ReplyDeleteI agree...boy toys are so much fun!
Oh goodness, I just love the "lightsaver" war =)
ReplyDeleteWhat a smart way to document your week! Boys are so fun! I have an almost 5 year old and life is never dull around him.

ReplyDeleteToo sweet. And a lovely way to give your family something to look back on. I remember taking my children to see Beauty and The Beast the first time it was out, they were so excited they couldn't sit still. Thank you for stirring up a memory by sharing your own!
ReplyDeleteps - even though I am no longer a mom of young ones, your blog is so delightful I am following you now.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the "light savers". I can totally see my hubs playing with those. Levi is adorable!
ReplyDeleteWhitney, I just wanted to leave a little note to say hello (its always fun to know who reads your blog!) I stop by occasionally! My boys (Gabriel and Noah) are right around the same age as your boys. Seeing Gabe take on the role of big brother has been such a sweet transition to watch! I've been taking a pic a day of our "everyday" and it has been such a blessing - tough sometimes but totally worth it - keep going! especially this first year when your little one will change so much!! ReplyDeleteLOVE seeing moments from your life. It's a great idea - I might copy it ;) HOpe you don't mind.
