His name is ...
Ezra Ray.
We are so excited to have and name another little boy! When I found out I was pregnant and sat and dreamed about this little life, the only name that ever crossed my mind was Ezra. I tried to come up with girl names just in case, but this little name always rang out in my head every single day. We knew if he was a boy we wanted to use the middle name Ray, after my Dad. Levi's middle name is after his Daddy, who has HIS Dad's middle name. So, both of my boys will bear middles names of both grandfathers.
So special. So blessed.
Thank you, Lord, for my precious little Ezra Ray.
21 weeks and overwhelmed with gratefulness.

Ezra has always been my favorite boy name! It will be boy number two for us (if we have a number two) since Eli was DH's favorite. =) Congrats on deciding!
ReplyDeleteThat's so awesome! I love the name Ezra and we even considered it for the little boy we are expecting (I think I've commented before that I'm only a couple weeks behind you in my pregnancy - 19 weeks!). We just found out we are expecting a boy too. Our daughter is the same age as Levi.
ReplyDeleteThat's also funny you gave them each a middle name after their dad/grandfather. Our daughter's middle name is her great grandpa's name (James) which is the name of the first born son in every generation on my husband's mom's side of the family (his grandfather, uncle, cousin and second cousin are all named James). And this baby boy will have my husband's dad's name (the baby's grandpa) as his middle name (Robert). Yay for family middle names and congrats again on the second little boy!
I love, love, and love his name! I just read a book with the name Ezra in it and I thought it was darling. Congratulations and I can't believe I've missed this... LOL
ReplyDeleteLove it! I'm so happy for your growing family!! What a blessing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely name. We used grandparents' names as middle names for our first two children (then we ran out and used other family members' names for our third). I think it really honours our parents to name our children after them.
ReplyDeleteLevi and Ezra...it sounds lovely doesn't it!
Love it! Levi and Ezra have great rings to them!
ReplyDeleteI love the name!
ReplyDeleteSweet baby boy! I love the idea of using family names. So special.

PPS...Don't EVER think of changing your blog header. It's adorable, and your blog just wouldn't seem the same without it! In fact, the first time I checked out your blog, I thought how cute your little housewife was, and your "mission statement" is PERFECT!
I love the name! I am 20 weeks and expecting a little boy! It's our first. We are still working on a name!
ReplyDeleteWell, I have 4 nephews and there is an Ezra and a Levi--I think that they are great names that are unique and also spur a conversation as to how they got "those" names. Congratulations on your newest addition!
