October Festivities!

We did lots of fun Octoberish things last week. We did a Fall Family Fun Day on Saturday and it was perfect.

We started with breakfast at the Cracker Barrel, and Levi is enthralled with the checkers game they always have there.

He played his Daddy!

I had a plate full of carbs: chicken 'n dumplings, mashed potatoes and gravy and hashbrown casserole. It was amazing! :)

Later, we headed to the pumpkin patch and Levi had an absolute ball.

It was the perfectly cool crisp day to hunt for pumpkins. And I took this picture that I absolutely LOVE. The way Weebie is looking at his daddy is priceless.

That evening, we went home and carved the pumpkin. Daddy carved a rocket ship in honor of our cute little astronaut!

We also did these, and they made us laugh. A lot.

On actual Halloween, cousin Maxwell and family come over and go trick-or-treating together. I made them their own pumpkins representing what they were for Halloween (Levi was an astronaut and Maxwell was Mickey Mouse), and some fun gift buckets! It looked so festive waiting for them to tear into. :)

Yes, I am the cheesy Mom/Aunt. :) But it's just too much fun.

They scored lots of good candy. My neighborhood passes out tons of chocolate - and he even got a full size Hershey bar! Score! I'm glad he has a cousin close in age and close in proximity to enjoy times like these with. It's just precious because they love each other!

The next day, when I asked Levi what he wanted to do, he said, "Let's go trick-or-treating!!!" :) Such fun memories!

What a great October. Here's to a just-as-great November! :)

  6. So cute! I loved the Woody and Buzz pumpkins. I have read your blog quite a lot in the past, and I just found out that we have a mutual friend-Jon Jackson. What a small world-and obviously you live in my hometown as well. I recognized the pumpkin patch you visited. It's good to know another blogger in the area! My site is: www.potholesandpantyhose.com.
