Catching Up!

Oh guys, sorry I have been MIA! I have been N to the A to the USEAS! Oh my lanta, it has been brutal. I haven't been blogging because when you feel like cruddies, everything sounds like cruddies. Even blogging. My Dad hooked me up with some great vitamins that have helped with the sickness a TON, and my Doctor prescribed me some Zofran that I use when it gets unbearable. I know that it's 100% safe, but I just don't like taking a lot of medicine when I'm in the family way.

I've also been wiped out. Completely exhausted at all times. But, the vitamins have really been helping a ton with that, too. Horray!

Husby turned the big 2-9 Tuesday and we had a great time celebrating him! Weebie and I made him a pie and as soon as Husby walked in the door, Levi started screaming, "MOMMY MADE YOU A PIE!" It was scrumdiddlyumptions, if I do say so myself! (Note: if you ever have a secret, DON'T TELL LEVI.)

Very Berry. :)

My parents had his favorite pound cake on earth sent to him, and let me tell you, it's deeeelish. As great as it tastes, the presentation simply can't be matched! Absolutely gorgeous! What an amazing way to tell someone happy birthday!

Husby has had a b-r-u-t-a-l schedule this month, being at the hospital every day at 4:30am. He got to come home early yesterday, at around 3, and when I walked back to our room to grab another pile of clothes to put away, this is what I found:

What? Who falls asleep like that? How is that even possible? Oh, bless his poor little precious heart. He's just exhausted. He works so hard. And he is such a blessing to Weebie and me.

Thank you all for the advice on Weebie's bathroom/guest bath. I really appreciated reading every one of them. What would I do without my bloggies?

And on that note, it's time to pop a vitamin and head for the hills. Have a great Thursday, everyone!

  2. That pie looks delicious! Hope you husband gets some much needed rest soon. Mine had to call me to pick him up from the hospital two nights ago because he wasn't comfortable driving home, and we only live 8 minutes door-to-door! Residency isn't made for the weak!

  3. I was nauseous for 9 months with my son. GURL, I feel your pain. Just thinking about it now gives me the shivers. Worst part of pregnancy. The nausea.

  4. Would you mind to share what vitamins you are taking? I have a friend that just found out a couple of days ago that she is expecting, and she is S-I-C-K. Thank you in advance, and I don't think I've said it before so Congratulations!

  7. My husby isn't a doctor but he's doing a phd and spends loooong hours in the lab sometimes. I found him asleep at the kitchen table once, I think he'd been like that for a few hours.

Passing out on the floor takes the cake though! Happy Birthday!

  9. The thing that helped me the most was almost always sucking on a wint-o-green lifesaver. Good luck!

  11. Aww... Sorry you have been feeling sick. I hope that you get to feeling normal soon. Thankfully this pregnancy I only had two days of real sickness. I am really enjoying being pregnant this go around.

As far as your hubby being so tired, I can't imagine. The picture is worth a million words. My hubs is in clinical rotations now and he is always exhausted. I am praying residency isn't any harder on him then some of these clinical rotations, because they are brutal with hours and lack of sleep.

  12. Between you and Pioneer Woman I'm about to die for a piece of pie this morning! The poundcake looks like it is/was a winner too. Just the thing for a pregant Mommy!

  13. Girl- I am so with you. We found out about three weeks ago that we are expecting #4, and I have been SO SICK. Sickest pregnancy thus far. My oldest just turned four, and she is so sweet and tries to help me as much as she can but really, I just have to make peace with the house being a wreck and be content if everyone got fed three meals today haha! A nap every single day is a must, or I will crash and burn by 6pm. Not a fun thing for DH to come home to :) Hoping the sickness'll pass in another month or two as it has previously. Good luck!

  15. I just want to say a belated CONGRATULATIONS! I was so excited for you when I read your entry announcing it! :)

  16. I love the picture of your hubby sprawled out on the floor. Too funny! My husband lays down on the living room floor and falls asleep, but that's usually when it's really late and we should be in bed anyway!

  17. DO NOT feel guilty about resting. I just had our fourth, and it took me until baby number 3 to give myself permission to nap/rest/relax/read a book...whatever you need to do to take care of yourself. You have my permission :)

  18. Oh my gosh! That picture of him sleeping cracks me up! I know EXACTLY how he feels (since we were on the same service and all). Hope this month is better for your whole family!
