Has anyone seen the Babies Documentary?
I found it absolutely fascinating, but it left me ...
A. Overwhelmingly thankful for diapers.
B. Wanting to put on a bra. Or seven.
C. Feeling the need to buy a mosquito net.
D. Teaching Levi how to balance things on his head the next day.
E. Thinking of getting Levi a pet rooster to parade around his bed.
F. Feeling very, very ignorant about life outside of the United States.
If you haven't watched this, you've just gotta.

Watched it. Loved it. It definitely made me realize that I can relax a bit more as a mom. I mean, if that African baby can drink out of a crocodile-infested muddy river, then surely my kid is going to be ok if he comes out of the bathroom with the toilet brush in his mouth, right? :)
ReplyDeleteLoved it also. :)
ReplyDeleteI loved the babies documentary!! I loved the mongolian kids...how the older one kept picking on the little brother!
ReplyDeleteI watched it and was amazed with the different styles of parenting and just life in general. Very eye opening.
ReplyDeleteTotally with you about wanting to put on 7 bras after! lol
I just watched it last night, and I totally agree! Especially about the 7 bras...haha
ReplyDeleteI am thankful that I don't have to lick my children clean!
ReplyDeletewow whitney, i think that you read my mind! haha :) i loved it.

I've heard of this but have yet to watch it!
ReplyDeleteWasn't it cool? So eye opening..especially all those boobs! Haha.
ReplyDeleteWell, I did enjoy it, but to be honest I just couldn't take all the boobies after a little while! Lol, I don't mean that in a vulgar way, like it made me uncomfortable. Not mentally at least. Like you said, it just made me really thankful for bras! ;)
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen it yet, but have heard of it a few times. I'll have to check and see if the library has it!
ReplyDeleteI love Babies. I could watch it over and over. Made me feel a bit sorry for the western babies though. The Namibian and Mongolian babies seemed to have so much more fun.
ReplyDeleteLoved it :)
ReplyDeleteI did and I liked it. I am with you on that bra and diapers thing though! It amazed me how different cultures are though. I felt bad for the little guy left alone in the room most of the day!
ReplyDeleteI have not seen it yet, but would like to!
ReplyDeleteI loved it! :)
ReplyDeleteI found it so interesting that the Tokyo and SF babies were so uptight much of the time haha. And that tantrum from the Tokyo baby- so familiar in our home! :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely makes you want to relax as a parent and let them explore more freely on their own.
lol I saw it while I was pregnant. And yes on the bra. Or 7.
