There once was a boy, a precious child,
who had hair that became a little wild.
It grew and grew and flew every which way,
so Mommy declared it a special day.
Daddy usually chopped his lustrous locks,
but his hair grew as long as the tail on a fox!

The boy went to the barber to get a cut,
Mommy thought he might get nervous and cry .. BUT...
The shop was filled with a sea of fun toys,
every child's dream, both for girls and for boys.

He ran and he jumped and he giggled and played,
there was no way this place could make him afraid!
When his name was called into the chair,
Mommy stroked one last time the boys little hair.
He sat like a big boy in what looked like a tractor,
they played movies in front of him - an awesome distractor.

Mr. Barber styled his hair like such a little doll,
the boy beamed with pride, like he was 5 feet tall!
Mommy took his hand and gave him a kiss,
his wild little locks, she surely would miss.

She brought in a baby and left with a child,
he looked up at her, she melted and smiled.
It's time to face the facts, her baby's growing up fast,
but one things for sure, they're making memories that last.

ReplyDeleteGreat post!!! You're so creative! He looks adorable!!! I'm so scared of haircuts and front teeth because both make them look SO much older! I can't do much about the teeth but I'll take my time on the haircut until I start getting the SHE'S so cute comments... then I'll know it is time to let go:-)
