We went to the State Fair this weekend - something we look forward to every year! I forgot my camera, so enjoy some pictures taken via two different iPhone apps. :)

The Krispy Kreme Cheeseburger --- GAG!! Husby tried this and yes, I did take a bite. It actually wasn't as bad as you would think. Go figure. Definitely not worth another bite, though.

Notice the outfit (well, shirt) change? Weebie threw up from eating too much!

At the petting zoo, we had Levi's picture taken with the CUTEST baby goat. Sorry for the quality - it's a picture of a picture. Levi had so much FUN! It was adorable.

Love Love Love Love!
We had a fabulous time. The State Fair in my neck of the woods never disappoints!!

A fun-tastic day with my fun-tastic family!!
Are you going to the fair?

I LOVE fairs! The fair near us was back in July!
ReplyDeleteah, THIS fair is one of the biggest reasons it hard living in london in the fall...i miss my state fair. it looked amazing and makes me miss it so much!! looks like you all had a great time! so very jealous!
ReplyDeleteOH my, the donut cheeseburger sounds gross!! :)
ReplyDelete1) Poor little Weebie's tummy :( I think state fairs bring out the glutton in all of us...
ReplyDelete2) That baby goat is the cutest thing EVER.
3) I wonder who in the world thought of the Krispy Kreme hamburger ... I love hamburgers, and I love donuts, but certainly not together!
when the nc state fair rolls around in raleigh, i'm always there once, twice, and sometimes more than that :) it's always a great time with friends! as far as food goes, the nc state dairy farm is right around the corner, and their ice cream is divine!
ReplyDeleteEven though I'm from Canada, my dad is from the states, and my granparents/aunt/cousins all live around syracuse NY. I always remember the state fair as a HUGE treat, being both a visit to family I hardly see and being a total blast in itself!
ReplyDeleteFun! We didn't make it to the fair this year...
ReplyDeleteI love the picture of your little guy eating the ear of corn! So cute! Heck yes, we are going to the fair when it rolls through town! It starts next weekend! Wahooooo!
ReplyDeleteGreat post processing on the photos!
ReplyDeleteAnd that burger looks so gross! How many calories would that thing be anyway?? haha

Our State fair was earlier this year! It was the first time I had ever gone in Nevada. I know I am getting older because the part I loved the most was going through and seeing all the people who won awards for farming, baking & crafting!!! The quilts were so amazing! It is also finished up by a rodeo each night and that was fun as well.
ReplyDeleteYour posts always make me smile!

I didn't buy a corn on the cob and I have been regretting it ever since. Especially after seeing your pictures. :)
ReplyDelete1. I've never had this much fun at the po-dunk fairs I've been to. Probably because it was more like a small-town fair. Yours looks like a blast.
ReplyDelete2. Is that a butterfly on your finger in one of those pictures?
3. I want to try the donut cheeseburger soooo bad! It looks really good, to me.
4. Levi is the cutest, happiest little man ever.
5. Now I want to find an honest-to-goodness state fair and live it up.
What apps did you take these pics with?
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day! I love the pictures!

Love your blog! I have read a long time - Levi is so cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat apps do you have for your phone to take pictures like that? I find myself without the camera a ton, and am ending up with a ton of "bleh" iphone pics that would be much better if I could spice them up!
Looks like SO much fun! Love the pictures, and Weebie is AH-dorable and looks so happy!
ReplyDeleteOh. my. gosh. Where to begin? First of all, I am now making it my mission to find the apps you used to take these pics. Second of all, that burger is revolting. I love Krispy Kreme and I love me a good burger, but an actual Krispy Kreme burger? Like you said, GAG. Props to you for trying it though! Third of all, Levi is probably the cutest kid I've ever seen in my entire life. His dimples are the MOST precious thing!!
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed this post Whitney!! :)
Oh my gosh!! Look at the two little lambs (the real one and Levi). What cutie pies!!!! I don't know how you tried the KK cheeseburger--yucks!
ReplyDeleteI've got to admit, I'm a little bit afraid of fairs: artery clogging food and rides that collapse into boxes and drive down the highway. Lit-tle bit scary to me! HA! However, loved your pics...it really did look like fun and Levi is just precious. I love the one of him and the baby sheep! SO cute!
ReplyDeleteLevi is so adorable! You guys look like you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteWe have a fair that comes to our town next week and they do a massive firework show on Friday night, I can hardly wait!
My hubby and I *heart* the fair. We go every year without fail. We eat lots. Then we ride the ferris wheel. Then we go home and avoid weighing ourselves for a while. :)
ReplyDeleteI've heard about that krispy kreme hamburger-you're braver than me! I don't think I would try it.
ReplyDeleteI love how Weebie looks at you when you're in the picture with him-it's obvious that he just adores you :)
