I like TV, but I don't love it. Most of the time it's just "there" as I do other things that I prefer over the ole tube. We rarely watch shows when they actually air because we DVR them and catch them when we can. Though I'm not too TV crazed, there are a few that are "musts" for me to record when they are in season. Want to know what they are?
1. Teen Mom

I would have to say that this is probably my favorite show on TV. I followed Maci, Amber, Farrah, Catelyn and Whitney (though she's not a part of Teen Mom) when they were on the very first season of 16 & Pregnant. I don't know what it is about it, but this show sucks me in!
2. 19 Kids and Counting

Oh the Duggars. I love the Duggars and their shenanigans. They are a quality family with upstanding morals and I just admire them in a lot of ways. They intrigue me beyond words.
3. Glee!

Okay, Glee is really my favorite show. Teen Mom is my favorite reality show. I get so wrapped up in Rachel Berry's beautiful voice and the drama of all the little outcasts. Best show on TV. Fo Sho.
4. The City

Basically since The Hills is gone, The City will suffice.
5. Huge

I'm a sucker for shows about overweight people. See below.
6. Too Fat For 15

See?
7. 9 By Design

This family intrigues me so much, but in an entirely different way than the Duggars. I love them! What an interesting life they lead. And they make me laugh.
What a weird smorgasbord of shows, huh? What's on your "must" list? I wouldn't be surprised if most of my choices are not yours! Ha! I am weirdly entertained... :)

Good Choices..Teen mom is one of my favorites as well, although sometimes I wish Farrah would get a clue. But they are young and they will live and learn. The Duggers, The City and 9 by Design are for sure DVR status in my home as well!!
ReplyDeleteI so adore Teen Mom! It's such a guilty pleasure - but I've been folowing them sinec 16 and Pregnant too! (Which is another fav show).
ReplyDeleteI'm not really a tv person... we don't even have cable at our house. But I DO love Glee, and watch it faithfully on hulu every week :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not even gonna lie, I also love some Teen Mom! Other favs are Real Housewives of OC, New York, and New Jersey. Keeping up with the Kardashians is entertaining as well.
ReplyDeleteI totally love Teen Mom, too (and previously 16 & Pregnant)! I can't figure out what it is that draws me in. I am the furthest thing from being a "teen mom," but it intrigues me anyway! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how much Teen Mom can suck you right in! I watch it too, and I think it's because I'm just really curious about other people's lives - especially people whose lives are so different from mine. I also love Glee and can't wait for the new season to start!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Glee!!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Teen Mom!! I find myself wanting to adopt Catelynn and just love on her. THe relationship she has with her mom makes me so sad! )o:
ReplyDeleteI like most of the shows you listed - haven't seen 9 By Design much. I'm kind of a Bravo-aholic though...
The top two I am definitely fans of! But I'd have to add America's Got Talent and The Bachelor/Bachelorette.
ReplyDeleteCabin Fever in Vermont
I don't particularly care of reality TV in general but I L.O.V.E. GLee!!! It's amazing and I can't wait for it to start in 12 days!! WOO!
ReplyDeleteOn my list: Grey's, House, Mentalist (LOVE SIMON BAKER), Cougar Town, Rules of Engagement =)
So glad shows start up again after next week!
i did not know what Teen Mom was but had seen two of the girls on the cover of US Weekly, so thanks for the explanation!
ReplyDeletei watch tv online usually, and only a few shows so i'm not a huge tv person. i LOVE Glee, and recently got into Castle. i will stop everything to watch So You Think You Can Dance during the summer. And i am still mourning the loss of LOST.
gosh...Top Chef, 19 Kids & Counting, Teen Mom, Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, Prive Practice and House. My DVR gets jam-packed once the new seasons starts. I also DVR re-runs of 7th Heaven during the week to watch when I get home :-)
ReplyDeleteI do LOVE tv. Currently, I love Covert Affairs, Rizzoli and Isles, and Lie to Me. And that's just summer television. I can't wait for Modern Family, Community, the Office, 30 Rock, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, and Bones to all come back on soon!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have TV at our house. No cable, no "basic" no nothing. When you turn on the set you get a big blank screen. But we do have Netflix and a DVD player, so we tend to watch everything a season behind! I've never seen any of the shows on your list but I'm sure I would love them. My faves are Big Bang Theory, Chuck, and Dr. Who (British humor is the best!).
ReplyDeleteMy faves are Project Runway, Psych, Chopped (and anything else on the Food Network) and The Office. I like reality TV but only if it is project-oriented like Top Chef, Chopped, PR, etc.
ReplyDeleteI love the Duggars!
ReplyDeleteHave to say I've never seen the shows you mentioned. My hubby and I DVR The Office, 30 Rock (my current favorite-so funny), Top Chef, Biggest Loser, American Idol (though I'm not sure about this year), Iron Chef, Chopped, and I watch Gilmore Girl re-runs. I know that sounds like a lot but they're all on at different times of the year. Never all on at once.
ReplyDeleteI love Glee & Huge. Those are some awesome shows! :-)
ReplyDeleteThe Duggars, Little People Big World, The Little Couple, Mystery Diagnosis, Monsters inside Me, Cake Boss . . . yes I'm a sucker for TLC and Discovery Health. I also like 16 and pregnant. What I cannot stand. Kate +8. I just cannot take her.
ReplyDeleteI love Glee, the Real Housewives shows, The Rachel Zoe Project, Top Chef, So You Think You Can Dance, and Project Runway. I'm so excited for fall tv shows to come back now!
ReplyDeleteGreat choices! I do a lot of DVRing because I never have time during the week! I do try to watch at least 1 half hour show each night. It helps me relax :) I love Glee, Teen Mom, 19 Kids and The City. I also love RHNJ, Grey's and Private Practice when they come back on. So excited for fall line up even though I'll be watching them on Friday or Saturday night when hubs works!
ReplyDeleteI love glee. I have never seen any of the other shows.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of many of the shows you've listed but I LOVE Glee. My other favorites are Modern Family (I love it even more than Glee, if possible!) and The Office. And I'm currently obsessed with Showtime's "The Tudors" on Netflix. Oh, the intrigue!
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of the same favorites. I love Teen Mom (are you as annoyed with Amber & Gary as I am....grrrr), Huge (LOVE this show), Glee (can't wait for the new season to start), and 19 Kids & Counting. I bet our DVR looks similiar! ha ha!
ReplyDeleteI like Glee, too, but I'm opposite of you in that I can't stand Rachel Berry's voice. It's SO whiny. I think her voice could be pretty if she stopped the whine at the beginning of every stanza. :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THE DUGGARS!!! Chris doesn't understand my infatuation, but I just can't help it. They are such a wholesome family. I hate when they get bad press, too. What's wrong with doing such a good job of parenting that you just keep on going?!?!? Michelle Duggar makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteAlso a weird smörgåsbord:
ReplyDeleteGLEE
House/Lie to me
Star Trek TNG (in know its not current but I watch if incessantly)
The United states of Tara
