First of all, thank you for all your votes on the last post. Y'all had me laughing out loud and I think I'm mad at about 87% of you for siding with Husby on most things. Seriously guys? I thought we were friends! ;)
I hope you all had fabulous Fourth celebrations with those you love. I captured a few moments of the special day that I thought I would share with you.
We began the morning with Church. We were in my hometown for the weekend, so we went to the Church I grew up in. This picture makes me laugh out loud. Weebie has never before made such a face!!

After Church, we had a huge meal of smoked brisket, smoked pulled pork, hamburgers, hot dogs, baked beans, potato salad and grilled corn on the cob. The Weebs fell in LOVE with corn on the cob. If anyone took it away from him, he absolutely broke down and wailed. Don't mess with babies corn.
Glam*Ma cooled it down for him and tested it.

"It's MINE, Mom. MINE!"

He couldn't enjoy the one he had for worrying someone was going to take his second one away. He kept switching back and forth between them. The boy loves his options.

Num num num num...me love corn....num num num...

After lunch, we took cousin Maxwell on a ride and Weebie felt like he needed to help guide him along.

Then we went outside to pop of firecrackers!

Weebie loved all of the fireworks. He was in the big middle of everything laughing at the different ones. He is no doubt 100% BOY and has no fear!

He was not a fan of Snap Pops. And he wasn't strong enough to throw them down hard enough to make them pop! But smoke bombs, black snakes and confetti poppers were so much fun for him!

Glam*Ma & Grandpa enjoyed the babies!

Weebie was only one month old last year on the 4th, so it was like a brand new holiday for him this year! I loved watching him enjoy everything. That evening, we went to a giant display put on every year by a family in town. It blows every other firework show away!
Before the show began, Weebie & Husby played with the sparkers.

Weebie was exhausted by the end of the night and slept super hard, dreaming of red, white and blue.

I can't believe he loved the fireworks. Ruthie Jane still hates them! I havent been able to watch fireworks for three years now! Glad you guys had such a great holiday weekend!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the expressions on his face! This summer I reminded myself why I love roasted corn on the cob so much. I don't blame Levi for being protective ha.
ReplyDeleteWeebie has to be one of the most photogenic babies ever! And I love the last one of him eating corn, where he just gives up with his hands and puts his face on the table to eat it. It made me laugh out loud! :)

You have such a wonderful family, and seem to have so much fun together, no wonder Levi is full of smiles.

ReplyDeleteMy nephew is the same way with corn! He loves it! Such cute pictures, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI could talk about how adorable Levi is with the corn and the fireworks and guiding cousin Max, but I am still trying to get over seeing your dad in shorts! I think that is a first for me!

ok, when I was scrolling down through this post, I saw the firework picture with the orange smoke and thought for sure that it was flames at first, and Weebie was standing right next to them! I freaked out! And then I realized that it was smoke. Geez, it scared me for a sec!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you had a happy fourth!
Love the pics, of course. Glad Levi had so much fun celebrating the holiday. You forgot to post pics, though, from his time last weekend with Grammy and Poppy. ;-)
