Pray With Me.

A lot of sadness has filled families around me over the past few weeks, and I can't help but have a heavy heart when I think and pray for them.

Last week, we had a moment of blogging silence for Cohen. I had the privilege of attending his memorial service which was absolutely beautiful.

On the fourth of July, a dear family friend passed away in a wreck. His funeral is today. He left behind a beautiful wife, three gorgeous daughters and a son. I rarely see this family these days since they are back where I grew up, but this past weekend, I had the privilege of spending both Saturday evening at a party and Sunday morning at Church with he and his precious family, before the crash. I cherish those moments God gave us this weekend. The loss is surreal and devastating, but we trust the Lord has a plan.

Please join me in praying for these specific families as they walk through these tremendous trials. I can't pretend to know the pain they are experiencing, but I can encourage with prayer as we mourn the great loss of such wonderful individuals.

Isaiah 43:2-3
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
For I am the LORD, your God,
the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.

  1. Oh, Whitney, I'm so sorry. I've also felt loss quite a lot lately. I lost my granddad on July 1. Then immediately after his funeral, my mom told me that my great-grandmother probably won't be with us much longer. I will pray for these families. By the way, I love the verse at the end.

  5. Thank you so much for posting this. I do not know the Marshall's personally, but because of my own story, I started the Stella & Dot fundraiser for them. I have not been able to stop thinking about them and sweet Cohen.

  8. Thank you for your post. We really appreciate your post. I don't know if you were at the funeral, but I did get to see your mom and talk to her. I saw Luke and Hollie, but didn't get to talk to them. It's been hard, but we've definitely seen the Lord's work in this already! Love you girl
