Sunday's Big Birthday Bash went off without a hitch. We had 22 family members come together at my house to celebrate my little boy's first birthday. I took so many pictures that I am going to have to divide my posts up into separate categories. Today I will focus on the birthday decor (since it is in most every picture) and tomorrow I will post the pictures of the festivities (including lots of pictures of the birthday boy)!
First off, here's a sneaky peak of my little one year old. He was so excited to be turning one that anytime we said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" or asked him how old he was, he would shoot that 1 finger up in the air! So presh!

As you can see on Levi's little outfit, the theme of his birthday was Little Red Wagons. The inspiration came from his Poppy (Husby's Dad), who has been working for months on building Levi a red wagon for his first birthday (pictures of that coming tomorrow). When thinking up theme ideas for his big day, I just couldn't help myself - red wagons were the way to go!
When guests approached my front door, two little wagons filled with flowers were there to greet them!

The entry way was full of fresh flowers as well.

A look into the living room!

I had two banners hanging up in the living room. A big "Happy Birthday" hanging from the giant arch and a cute little "Levi" on the fireplace.

He opened his gifts in front of the fireplace, so it was a festive little place to be!
Next stop in the living room was the Favor Table.

We had three rows of the cutest little bitty red wagons filled with retro type candy on this table. Each guest got to take one home with them.

Inside the wagon were candies that were famous when red wagons were in their prime! Cracker Jacks, Hershey Bar, Chuckles, Boston Baked Beans, Sugar Babies, Bit-o-Honey and Clove gum.

Next stop? THE BIRTHDAY TABLE!

(This one was taken before the cookies and popcorn were in their place, but it was a good one of the candy buffet.)

The table scape was so much fun to plan. I found a lot of the glass jars for the candy buffet at Hobby Lobby for 50% off, and I also had a few already. We filled them with red and aqua candy (the colors of the party). We had Hot Tamales, M&M's, Rock candy, Sixlets, Twizzlers, Jelly Beans and Cherry Sours. I had buckets for everyone to fill with candy and take home with them.

My absolute FAVORITE part of the table was this:

Radio Flyer wagons filled with Jones Soda. And do you notice who is on this soda pop? ....

WEEBIE!!!
So. Much. FUN!

A local bakery made his wagon cake and his smash cake.

It just turned out so cute!

We ordered a wagon cookie cutter online and had a lady from my hometown make them. She said they were SO hard to work with because of the handle. We ordered about 40 cookies and by the time the party rolled around over half of them had the handles broken off. But they were just so darn cute!

We had a plethora of food including a fruit tray, vegetable tray, 3 kinds of chips with 3 kinds of dips, cheese ball and crackers, hamburgers, hotdogs, baked beans, popcorn, cookies, cake and ice cream. These are the only pictures of the food I ended up getting.

Some little details...

It was a fantastic day and I can't wait to show you the rest of the pictures. I hope you enjoyed seeing the decor! And a BIG THANK YOU goes out to my Momma Dearest who helped me soooo much to prepare for this party. From endless shopping days, last minute orders, financial help a lot of it and staying til the last minute to make sure every crumb was swept up and every dish was in it's place. I don't know what I would do without my jewel of a Mom. She's simply the best - my right hand (wo)man.
Yay Birthdays!!
