Come Peek Inside My Holiday Home!

(And Advent Days 13 & 14)

Let me take you through a little tour of our home this Christmas season. My living room and kitchen trees stayed the same, with a few ornaments added, though I added a touch of "Christmas Through A Child's Eyes" to the rest of my home. Now that we have Little Levi, I want to have fun and festive things around for him to look at and remember. I believe there is a way to make "fun and festive" pretty, too! I did my best to get the best of both worlds. Here we go!

Let's start with the Living Room.

Since we got married, we have been collecting Old World Christmas ornaments. They are hands down my favorite. They just scream "traditional" to me. There are so many fun shapes and each year we purchase a new one that represents that year!

Weeb753

All of the different colors in the ornaments make the tree shimmer and sparkle. It's just pretty.

Weeb748

Weeb864

This year, we purchased several ornaments to represent our year.

Like this one: A Snowman Husby, Snowman Whitney and Snowman Baby Weebie!

Weeb863

Weebie's First Christmas. I write on the bottom of the ornaments the year that we purchased it and why.

Weeb862

And we added this one, simply because we had to! It's a Doctor's Bag!

Weeb861

I love our big tree. I could leave it up all year. But I don't want to be a weirdo.

Now, let's take a gander at the very place that Mr. Claus himself makes his grand entrance....!!!

Weeb838

We found some monogrammed stockings which was exactly what I wanted! I traded in my "pretty" stocking holders for these houses and I LOVE them! They even light up and the colors change every few seconds. SO fun. Husby's is Santa's Workshop, mine is the Church, and Weebie's is the Toy Shoppe! So cute.

Weeb839

I really hope they still sell these when we have more children, because they're my favorite stocking hangers I've ever owned.

Weeb877

I really need to get my presents wrapped and under the tree! I should designate a day for that this week.

Weeb865

And of course, we can't forget the vase.

Weeb860

Now let's go to the kitchen.

Here is my little kitchen tree that sits atop the countertop!

Weeb847

Weeb848

Weeb849

Weeb850

Cutesy!

The kitchen table this year is designated to the man himself....

Weeb845

Jolly Ole St. Nick!

I love these plates. They came from Pottery Barn and I just love how each plate has a different Santa. See?

Weeb844

Weeb843

SO fun! The chargers and red swirly plates came from PB years earlier. I used the same plates and chargers last year for my table, but with Santa added, it makes for a completely different look! I used Santa as my theme since it's Weebie's first Christmas. I thought he'd enjoy it. :)

(And, errr, because I LOVE Santa Claus...)

Weeb842

Weeb846

Weeb841

Weeb840

I found the accessories for the table and Hobby Lobby and Pier 1. Yay!

Okay, let's head on over to Levi's room.

This soft, sweet tree came from Glam*Ma when I was pregnant with Levi last year. She had it in my room at home on Christmas to represent my little bebe. Then she gave it to me for his room! He LOVES it!

Weeb854

The lights gently flicker and change colors. It is so very soothing.

Weeb853

Here it is with the lights off.

Weeb855

And I saw this and had to have it, too. So Levi has two trees in his room. Lucky. ;)

Weeb856

Weeb857

Cutesy.

And this is on the entry table when you walk inside.

Weeb858

And here is another Advent calendar and I hid little candies inside. Husby promised me he would eat one every day, but he has yet to do it. If only Levi had teeth.... ;)

Weeb852

Last but not least, my newest, most exciting new addition to my Christmas decor!!!

Weeb869

A VILLAGE!!!!! Straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie. Oh, I love love love it. I need more people, though. But regardless, I love it!!

So far, I have a Pharmacy (which represents my Dad...he's a pharmacist), a Church, a House and a Train Station!

Weeb871

Weeb872

Weeb873

Here's me inside cooking...

Weeb874

Weeb875

Oh my village. How I love my village. I want to jump inside and live there! It's just so cozy, festive and warm. I love it.

Well, there you have it! You have seen all the Christmas decor this chica has to offer! I have so enjoyed peeking inside your homes and hope you have enjoyed mine as well.

So far, our story is as follows:

Caesar Augustus said that a census must be taken. So Joseph and Mary went to Bethlehem to register. Mary was going to have a baby. An angel told Mary her baby would be the Son of God. In Bethlehem, it came time for Mary to have her baby. But there was no room for them at the inn. So she had her Son in a stable. She wrapped him up in swaddling clothes...and laid him in a manger.
In a field nearby, shepherds tended their flocks. An angel appeared and the shepherds were afraid. "Do not be afraid," said the angel.
"I bring you news of great joy. Today in Bethlehem, a Saviour has been born."

The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

  1. Your home looks so pretty! Love your village and the kitchen tree. Your old world ornaments are so beautiful. Merry Christmas! Thanks for sharing your house again this year. My sister is still looking for a miniature KitchenAid mixer ornament like the one you showed us last year. She loves your trees too:)

  2. I've been looking forward to this post and it didn't disappoint! Your festive home is beautiful. So very cosy and tasteful. I've been wanting a Christmas village for years...maybe I should just go ahead and start collecting!

Incidentally, I've been blogging about my Christmas decorations recently and couldn't remember where I originally saw the baubles in a vase idea. I wonder if I saw it on your blog? If so, credit where credit is due...thanks for the idea! I'm also planning to totally steal your Christmas tree in the kitchen idea...fantastic!

    Merry Christmas!

  5. Everything looks gorgeous. I especially like Weeb's little frosty looking white tree. Now, remember, next year to watch out for those heavy stocking hangers! We don't want Levi pulling one down on his head when he is big enough to grab hold of those stockings!

  13. LOVE, LOVE, the village stocking holders!

Your new village reminds me of the massive one that my Memaw would put out each year. Seriously, her hutch was covered in different houses, trees, and such. I loved it. Sadly, it became too much for my grandfather to get down from the attic. Thanks for the reminding me of that special time.

  16. as always, so beautiful, Whitters! I love it! Your house is a Hallmark card. And can I just say that I am SO glad you love Santa and are sharing that with the Weebers. So many people seem to be losing touch with that and it's sad to me. Obviously, we know the real meaning of Christmas, but Santa is wonderful and magical and I think every child should get to experience that and I'm so happy Levi will have it. :) You are a fabulous Mom.
