By the time November rolls around, Little Levi is going to be all tuckered out! We have had so many Fun Fall Adventures so far, and have several more in store. Changing of seasons are just so fun with a little one.
Last week, Husby had a day off and we loaded Levi up and picked up his two Grandma's - Glamma and Grammy, for a day at an apple orchard!

We drove for about an hour and a half in great anticipation for the day ahead of us.

We arrived with grand dreams of apple picking and dining at the infamous Apple Dumpling Restaurant, but much to our dismay, when we arrived they said, "Why, these 150 year old trees won't produce anything!", despite the massive "Apple Picking NOW" sign out front. We still never figured that one out. But get a load of these trees...

HA! Oh, and the restaurant was closed because the owners Father-in-Law was sick. I half way wish I still worked outside the home so I could use that one as an excuse. ;)
After hysterical laughing in the gift shop for several minutes, we set out to create fabulous memories anyway. And we did.

Little Levi donned his COWBOY BOOTS, (ohmygoodnessthosearethecutestthingsinlife) and we took lots and lots of fun photos!

Levi thought the whole day was pretty hilarious himself. Check out that giggly face!!

And somehow, I managed to capture the perfect shot of Glamma and Weebs.

We then set off to have some family fun in a carriage.

And Glamma and Grammy kissed his face as Levi looked terrified.

We stopped to eat at Olive Garden and then continued on to find yet another Autumney Stop. We found a wonderful Farmer's Market type place with a pumpkin patch out back. We loaded up on lots of fall treats such as breads, cookies, muffins, etc. Yum!

And I continued to take a thousand pictures of my Pumpkin Head.

It was such a funny and bizarre day that we will be sure to laugh about for many years to come.

What a fun day even if it didn't go as planned. Sometimes those are the best times.
ReplyDeleteFunny how our best plans in life turn into something else and sometimes more wonderful then the plan we had. I know that your family will remember this day for many years to come and look back and still giggle. I love all the wonderful pictures especially the last one with the GREEN pumpkins.
