TwinMania

How many of you know someone with twins?

Well, I'm about to one up ya.

Not only do I KNOW someone with twins, but FOUR of my GOOD FRIENDS have twins. FOUR. It's weird. I am starting to think that if you are my friend, then you are going to have twins.

My best friend from elementary school? Twin girls.

A sister-like friend from childhood to adulthood? Twin girls.

One of my best college friends and roommate for 2 years? Twin girls.

A yearly summer camp friend/daily e-mail pal all through High School? Pregnant. With twin girls.

I'm telling you, it's weird. I have a close friend from each stage of my life that has twins. And NONE of them had any "help" with medicine. It was all natural! You better stay far from me if you don't want twins, because I'm telling you, I think I'm the missing link to the twin theory. Maybe it's my red hair.

I'm just waiting for the day that a friend pops up pregnant with twin boys. I guess it's good that they're all having/have twin girls. It's doubles Levi's options for a wife. :)
I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

  1. Whitney, will you please be my friend?

I, like you, lived my life praying for one dream to be fulfilled: to be a stay at home mommy. I have also achieved that goal...I have three precious little boys. But I really really want a little girl. Twin girls would be even better.

Come breathe some of those twin-girl vibes my way? ;-)

  2. Wow--that's very strange!! I mean twins are on the rise big time due to clomid and IUI and IVF--but all GIRLS, and all CLOSE friends!? What's in the water man?? haha

  5. that's odd! my uncles are twins, none of my uncles or father had twins, so I'm hoping the "skip a generation" myth is true and me and my husband can have twins!

I am praying for 2 singletons and then the third birth as twins so I can have my four children total! Hubs is hoping for two, maybe three kids. We'll see! Only 7 years-ish to wait before we can find out! Until then, I live vicariously through stay at home mamas like yourself!

  6. My best friend just had twins girls 3 weeks ago! She is a twin herself, but she's a boy/girl twin.

I think's it's even crazier that all of your friends had girls! I guess Levi will have lots of girlfriends to pick from.

  10. That's hilarious!! :)

I read your car seat post. When Caleb started to show a bit of an aversion to his car seat, we introduced him to his "travel teddy" a small teddy bear that he only held when he rode in the car. As soon as we'd strap him in, we'd hand him travel teddy and he would instantly get happy again. Plus, it gave him something to snuggle with when he fell asleep! I know, I know, unsolicited advice is annoying, but I feel your pain with this one!!

  30. WHOA! That's crazy! Three of my friends had girls... I had the only boy. Strange how these things work.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I love that...your sweet tiny boy is going to be a little heartbreaker with all his choices, combined with that killer smile of his. :)

I don't have any friends with twins, but they sure do run in my family!! One one side: 3 sets of cousins (different aunt/uncle combo) as twins, my grandpa is a twin, and has twin brothers. On the other side: twin aunts and twin uncles. And various second cousins on both sides who are twins!! So, basically I'm having twins one day. Double the fun, eh?? :)
