My Eleven Day Journey: Day One

Well folks, the time has come when all post pregnancy weight loss has come to a hault and something has to be done about it. My great friend Lindsey over on Pleasant Drive told me about The 11 Day Diet that she and her husband did a few weeks ago. Their weight loss was super successful, so I decided it was time for me to jump in and commit.

I told my BFF about it (Amber over at Three Meals and a Baby), and she decided to go on this short journey with me to see what we can do about getting off this baby weight. Our husbands joined in with us, and we are so excited to see the results.

Now, Amber and I go waaaay back in our dieting adventures. In High School, we tried every new fad diet there ever was, and often even made up our own with strict workout regimens. Looking back at us then, I have absolutely no idea why we ever dieted. I think it's safe to say we would both kill to look like that again! I remember thinking 118 was too big. (Um, I was NUTS!)

But now, after bearing children, our weight loss goals are legitimate. This diet is unlike any we have ever done. It is a mixture of proteins, veggies, fruits, and such. It is a great balance of foods - unlike the low-carb diets where all you eat is meat and cheese.

This is the menu for today:
Day1
Meal 1: cashews, cottage, cheese, banana milk shake
Meal 2: scrambled eggs, lowfat milk
Meal 3: turkey slices, ham slices, fresh grapefruit
Meal 4: walnuts, pastrami slices, garden salad o not
(You can eat these foods in any order - for instance, you can make meal 3 your first meal if it seems more breakfast-y or whatever..)

Tomorrow is a mostly all fruit day. I am looking forward to that, but hope I don't starve. So far today I have had scrambled eggs and banana milk shake and I'm feeling good. I'm satisfied and super excited about losing this weight!

Take a look at my 'fridge!

(I know, I know, it's not super organized, but hey - I have a new baby!)

He's the culprit for this weight gain. ;)

But that's okay. I'd gain 300 pounds if it meant getting this little baby. He's my LOVE.

WISH ME LUCK!!
