Dad's Surgery & Levi's Last Ultrasound

Yesterday was a day full of hospitals and doctors! My Dad had his surgery and they removed his gall bladder and his appendix. His gall bladder was completely diseased and they found a tumor the size of a lemon on his appendix (which seemed to be benign), and they took that out as well. He is on the road to recovery and should be back to his normal self soon. We are glad that is over with, and I know he is too! The prayers and thoughts with our family yesterday were definitely felt and appreciated.

After the surgery, I rushed next door to my doctor's appointment (Dad has his surgery in a convenient location!). It was Levi's last ultrasound and it was so sweet seeing his precious little face. It was kind of surreal to think that the next time I see him, I'll be holding him in my arms. Can you EVEN believe that????? Gracious.

My cousin texted me before my appointment and told me to guess how much he was going to weigh. He weighed 4 lb 7 oz two weeks ago, so I guessed 5 lb 8 oz. I was wrong! He weighed 5 lb 10 oz!! My Doc said that if I were to go full term, that I would have an over 9 pound baby. She does not want me going past 38 weeks and so we will definitely have a baby the first week of June. Oh my goodness!!!

Husby has boards scheduled for June 1, so we are praying that he does not come until that day is over! June 1 at 4pm would even be fine and dandy, but before that...ahhh! I know God is faithful and He already has the entire thing designed and planned out perfectly according to His will, so I am not worried about it. I'm just praying that Levi comes when he needs to and that everything will work out. And...I know that it will. :) It's great to have that peace. What do people do without the Lord?

Oh, and get this - she could even tell from the ultrasound that Levi has a little bit of hair!! How PRESH!!

I wonder if it's red like mine?
I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

  6. Oh, good! I'm glad everything went so well.

Isn't it crazy to think how some people rely on themselves for comfort--I couldn't make it throughout the day without having multiple panic attacks if I didn't trust His will for mine and Heath's life!

Everything will work out beautifully :-)

  18. Hello!

I found your blog from a friends blog! I love it. I too always wanted to be a stay at home mommy and that is what I am doing. I know you are getting close to your due date, but I have a blog called Mommie Reports (www.mommiereports.blogspot.com) where I review various baby products I use, as well as other random musings from my life. I hope everything goes well for you, nice to meet you virtually.

  25. I am so glad that your dad's surgery went well. The Lord has place him on my heart daily for the past week and I have faithfully prayed for him and your family and for his business and workers. I know Kevin and I know that must weigh heavy on him but I know Judy and others have to ability to take care of it all. I'm sure it is hard for Kevin to stay down and get the needed rest for recovery that he needs.
So glad to hear Levi is growing well. I hope he has you red hair. That would be tooo cute.--like our precious little Elsie Mae. luv you and yours
