Ramblings.

I have several things that I want to blog about, but they involve taking pictures to show you and that involves me prying myself off of the couch. And that's quite a task tonight. I am so tired and have no idea what I am still doing up. I'm wild and crazy like that, I guess.

So. Instead of those things I want to blog about, that actually might be fun and interesting to you, I will throw together a hodge podge of the thoughts running through my brain at this very second. And I hope you won't fall asleep on your keyboard.

Welcome to my brain.

My tummy is getting hard. It is beginning to obstruct my bending over. It's a very strange feeling to have no "give" in your mid section. I'm used to pure flubber being there, and flubber is very flexible. Now that baby is there, it's not so...soft!

I can't get enough food. I am hungry 16 of the 24 hours of the day. It's getting annoying. It just started a few days ago, but I swear, I could win any eating contest in the West. Or anywhere else for that matter. I'm starving. I wonder if the Nathan's Hot Dog Championship is coming up? I should look into that. Except.... I wish it were a potato chip eating contest.

My baby must be destined to be an acrobat. He's a mover and a shaker.

I need to cut my fingernails. They grow so fast and I get lotion under them all the time. That annoys me.

I love Valentine candy. I'm glad it's out. It makes me happy.

Husby has been asking me for two and a half weeks to make a chicken pot pie. I made him one tonight. I felt bad it took me so long to do it. Am I a bad wifey?

Lately I think about eating BLT's (minus the T and add the O *onion*, so it's actually a BLO), Eggos, white powdered donuts, and egg rolls. Not all at the same time, but at any given time throughout the day, I will be craving one of these things. Am I a health nut or what? ;)

Weird. I just noticed that two of the things I crave have the word "egg" in them, but neither are actually eggs. I hate eggs. They gross me out, but on occasion I will eat them scrambled.

Ya know that commercial where the guy takes a bite of his stick of butter? Well, that makes me throw up in my mouth every time. I used to eat butter out of the tub when I was a little girl and I always got in trouble for it. Now the thought of it makes me toss my cookies.

Sometimes I think about really gross combinations of things to eat and it starts to make me so queasy that I almost throw up. But then I can't get it out of my head and I try to not think about it, but I can't. I have told Husby of some of the disgusting combinations and he looks at me like I'm a freak and says "what goes on in that mind of yours? why would you even think that?" But I can't help it.

I can't believe that shows like Full House and Home Improvement were once on Prime Time. There is NOTHING like that on Prime Time now. It would be laughed out of existence and cancelled after the first airing. It's a shame - I love those shows.

And I love Uncle Jesse.

I wonder if Levi will be as ornery as Randy Taylor?

Okay. Enough rambling for this chica! Happy Mid Week Day!

QUICK - TYPE ONE RANDOM THOUGHT GOING THROUGH YOUR HEAD THIS VERY SECOND!
I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

  4. My randon thought - why when I drink a glass of chocolate milk do I have to gobble it down? I cannot just sip it, I must drink it all very fast. Weird!

Cute post - the butter thing makes me want to throw up too!

When we were little my sister would eat ketchup bread - ketchup on a slice of bread - YUK - it makes me nauseous when I think about it!

  5. I remember being pregnant and ready to eat everything in the house. I'd wonder how other people could be full when I was just getting started, ha!

    Enjoy this down time!

  6. Random thought? I was thinking that BLO's are something I never thought of, and they sound yummy!

Also... Being pregnant is like being in an alien body. Your body does weird stuff, you want weird stuff... it is generally really freaky weird. And you can get away with it, because you are pregnant! *grin* Don't you just love (most of) it!?

  7. Random (and constant) thought: I think I need to get my split ends trimmed.;)

And Uncle Jesse is all grown up now and looking really cute on ER.;)

  9. As a fellow prego I have a lot to say about your thoughts...

honestly I have no idea why they put that butter commercial on air. I already have a hard enough time gagging at normal foods. I don't need to see someone shoving a stick of butter down their throat...

two, I have been blessed to have very little morning sickess but when I'm hungry I need to eat RIGHT NOW or I do get sick. Did you experience this?! I've never felt hunger pains like this!!

three, my husband (remember he is going to be a first time dad) asked me if I could lift my legs up in the air like in highschool when I was a cheerleader. HUH?! Honey, I'm only 7 weeks?! I'm not handicap!!

those are my random thoughts :)

  10. Funny that you can eat onions because when I was pregnant the smell of onions sickened me even though I normally love them.

Random thought...I need to get my butt off the computer and to the gym!

  13. "I wish I had a strawberry cheesecake blizzard...." (random thought)

About the Valentine's candy...I, too, have been craving a heart-shaped box of chocolates for the past couple of weeks, and the other night my hubby bought me two of them - one Dove and one Russell Stovers. YUM-MY!! He is such a great hubby. :)

  14. Random thought... I hate the underwear I wore today, they always ride up.

I agree with the butter commercial, that is gross. I used to eat it as a kid too though.

  15. I'm thinking that if I bothered to take a few computer classes, I wouldn't be freaking out about a work project right now. Yikes!

  16. Last night I was watching Dog the Bounty Hunter (why do I love that show so much I don't know!) and they brought out McDonald's for the guy they caught, and all of them..it was 1030 at night..I begggggged David to go get me a double cheeseburger no pickle, medium fry, and Dr Pepper from McDonald's...but he wouldn't :0) I am still craving it today and may get it for lunch even though I know I don't need it. (yes I had already eaten dinner too--bad, I know)

Is your hair growing as fast as your nails? I hope that mine grows when I get pregnant, it has never ever grown past my shoulders..it like, stops growing.

  17. I love to hear the sound of typing in my office...and sometimes I try to make up words as if it's a song.

This post really made me smile. I also used to eat butter out of the tub when I was little. In fact, when i was two or three that is what my grandpa got me for Christmas. I thought it was the best gift ever until I got a Teddy Ruxpin a few years later.

I had a dream about being pregnant two nights ago and I went to get a sonogram but my husband was late (b/c of course i'm married in my dream) so the nurse took me to the cafeteria and bought me an ice cream cone. I can't imagine what it feels like to have Levi flipping around or your stomach totally changing.

    Have a terrific Thursday!

  18. Sonic has a great BLT. Although you know how slow the one is around here. I'm not sure they would be able to handle your request to hold the T and add the O.
My sister used to eat butter out of the tub. GROSS!

  26. I am wondering if you are really going to enjoy being a housewife as much as you think you are. I always dreamed of being one myself... in fact that is what my senior career passport says. My hubby just found it the other day and laughed at my statement of "I want nothing more than to be a housewife" now being the mother of 5, I crave getting out of the house alone. Still there is nothing more satisfying than seeing your child's first smile, patching their boo-boos and holding them when they are sick cause they only want to snuggle with you.

  27. Hahah, you are so funny.

My thought: Gloomy, heart stunk saddness. I just learned of a high school classmates dealth. Very sad :(

  34. Hi, I saw your site on Katie's (Marriage Confessions) blog week, and think it's great.

I was just thinking that I wish I was creative and energetic enough to come up with things like corn on the cob cupcakes. Those are so awesome!

Also, I could really go for some gelato right now. mmmmmm...

  35. I think it is weird what our bodies crave when we are pregnant! I always wanted double cheesburgers from McD's when I was pregnant with both of my boys!! WOW! Time flys! They are getting so big! Cherish every moment you have with them. Life goes by way too fast!

  36. I love reading your posts! I have been following you for some time now... but haven't commented yet. My husband and I just found out we are pregnant with our first as well. We just hit 15 weeks... due in July! So, it's been fun for me to read what you are going through, since you are just a little ahead of us! You are hilarious and I am so glad everything is going so smooth for you so far!

p.s. I also crave EVERYTHING unhealthy. I almost ate a whole bag of doritos yesterday...
