Moldable.

(First of all THANK YOU for the wonderful lunch ideas. You guys are great and you make me laugh all day long. Thanks for the comments!)

Once, in High School when husby and I were "just friends", we were at my house sitting on the couch talking. That's what we did. We talked and laughed and talked and laughed and rarely ran out of things to discuss.

But this time, on a cool dark evening, he stopped talking and stared ever so flirtaciously in my eyes and said, "Whitney…."

My heart started to flutter. I couldn't wait for what was to follow my name.

"Yes?", I said as I batted my eyes and giggled softly.

"Your face looks moldable", he said.

My heart fell into the pit of my stomach and I defensively screamed, "What?!? YOUR face looks moldable!!"

I was very offended. He kept trying to explain to me what he meant by it but I took major offense. That was NOT what I was expecting to come out of his mouth. I was imagining a proclamation of his love for me, or a "you really look beautiful today"….not that my face was MOLDABLE! My face was NOT moldable…whatever that even means. He said it looked like if he pinched my cheeks it would stay that way. How mean was he?!

We still joke about that conversation to this day and I often hit him and tell him HIS face is moldable.

He scarred me for life.

And then…the other day, I uploaded a new application to my iPhone and realized that I really CAN make my face moldable and it is SO much fun! You take a picture of yourself and then just play around with it changing all your features.

I must warn you first. The images you are about to see are somewhat if not entirely terrifying. And they are all me. 100% Whitneylicious. Beware.

WAIT! First let me remind you what I really look like. This is me.

I don't want you to forget and imagine one of these hideous creatures when you think of me. Because I might just scare you away and give you night terrors.

I will share these terribly horrifying images with you…because I guarantee you that it will give you a good chuckle for the day. And everyone needs to laugh!! :)

Introducing Alien Whitney!

And Fatty Big Mouth Whitney (YIKES!)

And Schnauzed Out Buck Toothed Whitney (How homely can a person get?! WOW!)

And Excited Weird Faced Whitney (I look like a cartoon.)

Scary, huh? I laughed so hard at these creations that I almost died. You better be glad that I'm comfortable in my skin and who I am because if I wasn't, you would never see these pictures!! I have been morphing everyone I take pictures of, so beware. I already have some great blackmail on friends and family. ;)

  15. You are so funny! I also would have taken offense to being called "moldable". One time when we were still in high school, my huband (then boyfriend) said he should time how long my calf wiggled after he hit it with his hand. I was pissed for like a week because I was athletic and in shape and I hated that he thought I had fat calves. You really worry about the important stuff in high school, don't you?

  16. Hello Whitney:

I am here via Pioneer Woman's blog. Aren't these things great?!
It is interesting to read about folks. My first impression of yours, what precious, sweet smiles you and your hubby have. I will enjoy reading your blog.
I admire you for putting things in your life on "hold" so that your husband can pursue his career.

Have a great evening and God bless you too!
PS...what huge mountain is that? it looks like Mt. Rainier.
