I had to be very quiet hanging these bad boys. It was quite a sight, I'm sure. But the response from them both was so worth it. Levi came bouncing in our bedroom that morning and he climbed up in bed with me and said, "Mommy! I love the heart decorations you put on my door! Thank you!"
He's seriously the most appreciative little thing in the world. So sweet!
When Ezra woke up and saw the heart curtain, his face lit up and he started SQUEALING! It was hilarious.

I had the table all nice and pretty ... for a little bit.

I love the soft pink and the little love signs. Charming.
Thank you half-price at Hobby Lobby!

Sweet, fun and soft, right?
Until I added the KID FUN!!!

Wild, loud and colorful. Just what little boys love.

Levi thought it was just about the prettiest thing he had ever seen.
Check out his face when he saw it all.

That right there was worth staying up until 1am. :)

We got him a Stuffie. He was obsessed.

It's funny because you think a baby wouldn't really care about it all. When Ezra woke up, Levi ran to Ezra's crib and said, "You've GOT to come see the table!!" Ha! I laughed to myself and thought, "well, he won't get as big a kick out of it as Levi, but it will still be sweet." Boy was I wrong.
I carried Ezra in and showed him the table and he stared laughing hysterically and squealing again! That precious little angel. I made Daddy get out of bed and come hold him by the table so I could get some pictures. Ha!

Such sweet little babies. I swear they make my job so much fun!
Levi and I were the first ones up and as he gabbed my leg off talking about his candy and goodies, I cooked breakfast. I made Cinnamon Roll Casserole by The Dishy Decorator ...

... and it was super delicious. Shout out to my sweet bloggy friend Erin for the recommendation! Scrumptious! I also made an egg and sausage casserole which was mmm-mmm good!
Oh, it was the best morning with my guy and our boys. I just sat back and realized how blessed I am.
And it made my heart LEAP seeing my kids love Valentine's Day as much as their Mommy!! :)
We relaxed around the house, watching valentine movies and playing Candy Land, and then we went on a little family date.
The boys and I wore our valentine shirts.

Levi cracks me up. He's such a poser.

His said "Prince Charming". If you know Levi, you know that's appropriate. Such a little romancer.
And Ezra, the heart breaker!

Daddy didn't wear a valentine shirt, but you can just trust me when I say he looked haaaaandsome!!
After this month of a ridiculous schedule for Husby, we NEEDED this day. It was so special and so fun. A great day. A perfect day!
And tonight, Husby and I are going out on the town for a proper date of our own! Yippee!!
Happy Valentine's Day, friends!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I love how you celebrate this day and make it special for your boys. THe heart decorations on the door are so much fun! Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful way to celebrate a holiday full of love. Your boys are going to be such gentlemen with wonderful taste when they grow up because of all the beautiful decor they see and how well mannered they are. Such a wonderful job you and your husband are doing with them.
