Celebs in The City.

When it comes to celebrity sightings, I am a total freak. My heart stops and I begin hyperventilating, stop whatever I'm doing and I run to them. They are like magnets to me. It's a little weird, a tad uncontrollable and completely ridiculous.

My name is Whitney and I'm a celebrity stalker.

I don't know what it is about them, because I know they are just people like you and me, but they completely fascinate me.

We saw SO many stars on this trip. Let me tell you about it.

(The REAL first one was Pioneer Woman, but I already told you about that one. So we'll skip on to the others.)

1. Donny Wahlberg.

As soon as we dropped our bags off at our hotel, we hopped across the street to grab a bite at Stage Deli. (We all ate the Kevin Bacon, Lettuce and Tomatoes.) We were seated by the window and half way into our lunch I spotted some people with large professional video cameras talking to someone. I started slapping Mom and Hollie as I craned my neck trying to see what was going on. I finally decided it was nothing and kept eating. A few minutes later, I looked up and the cameras were following the person they had been talking to INTO OUR RESTAURANT! I started screaming, "who is it? who is it? who is it?" - he had on a hat and sunglasses and was with his wife and son.

Hollie screamed, "it's a Wahlberg!!!!" and out came my camera. He was seated on the other side of the place, so my pictures inside are awful. But you better believe we waited until he left and we chased him out.

Oh, and we decided the cameras were from TMZ. We don't know it for fact, but we think it was.

NYC-4
(Hollie was chasing them shamelessly .... as I screamed, GO FASTER! GO FASTER!)

NYC-5
(We were going to ask for a picture, but since they were sprinting, we gave up.)

We couldn't believe our luck for this one. We'd been in town just a couple of hours and already had our first celebrity sighting!

2. Julia Roberts. (!!!!!!!!)

The same day, later that afternoon, we were walking up and down the streets browsing and shopping. We spotted Letterman's studio and went to take pictures by it. (Because we are the ultimate tourists and do all the touristy things.) We read on the doors that he was on hiatus so we were a little bummed. UNTIL.... we spotted a huge crowd SCREAMING on the side of the building and I was gone in a flash. I fought my way through the crowd and there she was in all her splendor.

The. Julia. Roberts.

AHHHHH!!!!!!! She was beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous. And you better believe we watched her on Letterman back in the hotel room that night.

3. Jack White. (?)

After the crowd from Julia cleared, we hung around thinking maybe Dave would come out. He didn't, but this guy did.

NYC-16

I had no idea who he was, but Hollie informed me that it was Jack White from Dead Weather. They were the musical guests that night.

4. The Red-Headed Guy.

I didn't get a picture, but the red-headed guy from Letterman came out the side doors and said "hi" to us and three old women that were walking by. I don't like this guy, don't even know his name.... but hey, I saw him, so I'm gonna brag about it. :)

5. Tim Robbins.

As we took our rickshaw ride through Central Park, we spotted Tim Robbins taking a (very) brisk walk down the sidewalk. I didn't get a chance for a picture, since we were riding by, but we got to see him up close! He was tripping over another pedestrian's stroller as we saw him. He is a speed-walker!!

All of these celebrities, we saw THE VERY FIRST DAY! Unbelievable!

6. Jason Castro.

Remember the dread lock guy from American Idol a few years ago? We were shopping on our second day in the city and he walked right past us with his wife! Mom spotted him. I was going to ask for a picture, but I was extremely hagged out from the day of walking in the warm weather, so I didn't. He seemed SO nice. He was singing to himself when I passed him and he kept hugging his wife. We stalked him at the stoplight for a good few minutes!

7. Heather Mazaratto.

The third day we were there, we were shopping at Bloomingdales. As soon as we rode up the elevator and hit the women's shoes, Hollie and I both spotted Heather at the exact same time!! She is Ann Hathaway's best friend from Princess Diaries. Remember?

We took off running after her, pretending to be taking pictures of SHOES! Haha!

I told you, we are shameless.

So fun!

8. Sean Hayes.

We went to see Promises, Promises on my birthday evening (it was FANTASTIC), and when it was out, the exit dropped us by the stage door. Lots of people were lined up waiting, and we had a perfect spot, so we waited, too! We ended up getting autographs and some great pictures. (Sean is best known for his role of Jack on Will & Grace.)

Sean was SO friendly!

9. Kristen Chenoweth.

Kristen was in the show as well and she came out to sign autographs, too. It was a little more tricky with her because she doesn't allow pictures with a flash (for whatever reason). She was SO fun! We told her that we are from Oklahoma (as is she) and she screamed and said "I miss Sonic and Chick-Fil-A!!!" and said, "thanks for coming, girls!!!" Ahhh, so fun!

When the body guard screamed out "NO FLASH ON YOUR CAMERAS", Sean Hayes rolled down his window from his "getaway car" and screamed "BOOOOO! BOOOOO!" :)

NYC-84

She's seriously like 80 lbs! So little bitty!

She and Sean were both SO sweet and oh my goodness, they are perfect together on Broadway. Absolutely wonderful! Sean had me laughing so hard and Kristen was just all out fabulous.

10.) P-Dub (I mentioned her, but didn't get her in the countdown) and Tito Jackson!!

See yesterdays post for my picture with Pioneer Woman.

On our last day there, Hollie was already down in the lobby checking her bags with the hotel so we could explore the town more before our flight and was waiting on Mom and me.

She was sitting RIGHT NEXT to Tito Jackson! She thought it was him because everyone was staring, but when he left, a lady who had talked to him told her it was Tito. Haha! So fun!

I couldn't believe the sightings that we had. NYC is just jammed packed with people and the celebs just kind of blend in with everyone else.

We talked to some other people who had spotted Amanda Bynes in Central Park and Will Ferrel somewhere else. We saw a scene from "Friends With Benefits" (with Justin Timberlake) being filmed in the middle of Times Square, but we didn't spot Justin. It was definitely an action packed week. I screamed so much I'm surprised I still have a voice! ;)

  7. Chenoweth has Ménière's disease, an inner-ear disorder that can cause vertigo, headaches and nausea, among other symptoms. She has said that, during some performances, she has had to lean on her co-stars to keep her balance and that it has caused her to miss performances.--From wikipedia. I am sure this is why she doesn't allow flashes, it sets things off. So cool you got to see all those neat people!! Love the pics!!
