Well my friends, a giant storm/tornado swept through my little town last night and with it, took my Internet connection. Nice.
Husby, Levi and I huddled together in the laundry room and as Husby and I spoke seriously back and forth to one another, Levi watched wide eyed and concerned. Then, he promptly stood to his feet and smothered my face with kisses. Sweet angel, he knows how to comfort at just the right times. He also knows when to laugh at all the wrong times, like when we bowed our heads and asked God to protect us from the storms. Oh, my little love lamb.
Praise God we came out unscathed and our house/trees just as they were before. There was some pretty serious damage in the rest of our neighborhood.
(And thanks to all my Twitter friends for the prayers!)
I'm not sure what's up with our Internet connection, but hope to get it figured out soon. Until then, I may be a little quiet for a few days. It's hard blogging on an iPhone, y'all. But I'll still be tweeting and since I can't share my crazy thought with the world via a daily blog post, you may find me in the nursery with Levi's stuffed animals lined up against the wall, telling them about my glamorous life of a housewife.
I simply can't be silenced.
Love to all and I'll catch ya on the flipside.

It took out our internet for a few hours too. We were huddled down in our underground shelter we are building in our new house 2 blocks down the street. There was 4 inches of water in it (still in framing stage), no fun! Heard some crazy stuff going on outside. I know there were reports of rotation in our area and I'm pretty sure we heard it!
ReplyDeleteGoodness, I'm glad you're all ok. In America you seem to have some of the best weather, but surely some of the worst, too! We never have anything like that here. Wasn't Levi a sweetie?
ReplyDeleteGlad you're okay, and what a sweetheart Levi is. Does your area get tornadoes often? I could never live in tornado country. I think I'd live in fear all summer long! One or two warnings a year is all I can take!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are safe! Levi is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine how hard it really is to blog from an iPhone! I don't mind texting and stuff, but a whole post? jeez! We don't even have 3G up here though, so it takes 100 times longer.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you're okay - that sounds like a frightening storm!
ReplyDeleteSo glad everything's ok!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you and your family made it through unharmed. How scary!
ReplyDeleteWe got some tornados up here in KC too, but luckily it was just a lot of rain, lightning, and thunder over our parts.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness the sun is supposed to shine today!
I'm having a give*away if you'd like to enter :)
Glad you're ok! I hate storms like that...so scary!
ReplyDeleteSo so happy to hear you and your family are okay. Hope your internet comes back soon!!
ReplyDeleteThat's sweet about your baby's kisses. Whenever I'm upset about something, my two-yr-old daughter puts her hands on my face and looks me straight in the eyes and says,"I'll make you feel better." Then she gives me a kiss on my cheek. It is amazing. And it works. ;) Glad you are safe!
ReplyDeleteglad you guys are okay! the weather has been insane!!
ReplyDeleteI would be so scared. We dont get storms like that around here. Glad no damage was done to your place!
