October is here!

I am so excited about this month. We have so many fun events planned with the Little Lamb to show him what Autumn fun is all about! The air is chilly, the leaves are falling and it is officially time for long sleeves. My favorite!

I am quickly seeing that each new season, change, event or activity is SO MUCH more exciting with a child. I realize that Levi won't remember what all we did this October, but it sure is fun watching him experience everything for the first time. He has such excitement in his eyes.

This month will be filled with pumpkin patches, carving, baking, dressing up, trick or treating, and lots and lots of memories (and pictures).

We went to the State Fair this weekend. Levi loved it! He found such joy in looking around at everyone and everything. We wore the poor little guy out! We ate so many fried foods and foods on a stick that it wasn't even funny. Needless to say, Husby and I both woke up with a tummy ache the next morning. But hey, it's not the same if you're not stuffing your face!!

It's a cold and rainy day today. I left Weebie in his jammies and we are enjoying the beginning of this beautiful month by cuddling and wrapping up in blankies. I hope you're doing the same! Happy October, Lovies!
I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

  7. We went to the Pumpkin patch this weekend and it was so much fun! We never did the Halloween thing growing up, and I don't know that we'll necessarily do "Halloween" but I'm excited to carve a pumpkin for the first time with my girls! You're so right! Holidays are so much more fun with little ones in the picture!

I nominated you for best Mommy Blog, BTW!

  8. I'm loving the cooler weather too! My boys are only 3 months, so I don't know if they'll get a whole lot out of going to the pumpkin patch, but I'm REALLY looking forward to next fall when they'll be old enough to enjoy it!

  11. Autumn is my favourite season without a doubt. It makes me want to nest!

One of the reasons I started my blog (aside from keeping family abreast of our goings on) was to have a record so that one day my children will be able to read about the things they were too little to remember. It provides a lovely record of their childhood and the things we did as a family when they were young. Levi might not have his own memories of his babyhood, but, thanks to your blog, he will have yours.
