Levi, Max and Their Medical Woes.

Great news on Maxwell!

Today he got moved to the Intermediate Care Nursery! This is fantastic because it means that they think he is doing well and is stable enough to be out of critical care. Praise God!

Doesn't he look so much better and a lot healthier? God is good.

Sad news on Levi!

Today was his four month well child check up. He was all smiles outside, not knowing what was in store.

Then we got in the examination room, and he started to doubt the whole situation.

"Mommy, are they gonna hurt me?"

And boy, did they.

Poor little thing was holding my hand and smiling until they stuck him. He then got a look of SHEER TERROR on his face and burst into tears. Breaks my heart every time.

Our Little Lamb is in the 75th percentile in weight and the 97th percentile in height!!!! I think we may have a giant on our hands.

A Jolly Little Giant.

I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

  1. Our son goes for his first set of shots in about a week. I'm TERRIFIED that it will bother me more than him!

Glad to see your nephew is doing better. What a little miracle! :)

  4. Max looks bigger and better already and I'm glad he's doing well. I'll help keep him and your family enveloped in prayer until he is strong enough to go home, which will be such an amazing day! Levi is looking big and strong and I'm glad he made it through his shots, even if it was scary!

  8. Those pics of Maxwell just tug at a mother's heart strings!

At Jack's 9 month shots 3 weeks ago, he was all smiles when I put him on the table, and was smiling at the nurses, He thought they were talking to him and then WHAM. both legs at once. Poor guy. I hate those shots, but I'd rather suffer now, then him suffer later.

  18. YAY MAX!!! i'm so glad he's making so much progress.

shots are awful. i had to take a 2 year old to get caught up on shots (she hadn't had any since she was born). she was so happy and laughing, then the nurse stuck her with 6 at one time (don't ask how) she screamed and turned to look at me like "how could you do this to me" and i started bawling. it was awful.

  23. Awww Levi is so cute. Sounds like he's definitely healthy! (-: My little brother was a chunker (not that I"m sayin Levi is), but he was SOOO cute. Those fat rolls are adorable. And now my brother is like the skinniest person alive. Anyway, I'm glad Levi is healthy, and yay for Max - he looks so much better!

  24. PS - thanks so much for your comment last week. I was really excited. I told Mark that you commented - he wasn't quite as excited, but he knew how glad I was, so he was a little. (-:
