Tieks!

I've had a dozen questions about these shoes since I posted a pic of them on Instagram after Christmas. The weather has finally been warm enough this week to bust them out, so I can officially answer your Q's! Here's my personal review.

Tieks only come in whole sizes, so I ordered a size up. I am a solid 8.5 and I ordered a 9. In my history with flats, I have an issue with them hurting my Achilles' tendon. I didn't want too tight or I knew it would be an issue. (I read a TON of reviews before ordering, and most people size up.) The 9 fits my foot perfectly, and I haven't had one issue with pain. My foot is normal width, but the way these are made, they would provide plenty of room for a wide foot. There's room on either side of my shoe for more foot, but it's not loose or slipping either.

The first day I wore them I ended up wearing them for 12 hours. (I typically would never do that with a new shoe, but they were so comfortable I didn't notice.) I didn't feel any discomfort during the day at all, but when I woke up the next morning, the bone up from the big toe was a little sore. I think from where the top seam lies. And I'm chalking that up to breaking them in (my feet are highly sensitive). After a day, I wore them again with zero problems. They're so very comfortable!

I love how they can fold up into themselves and you can throw them in a bag and go, if you want to change shoes after wearing heels or something. So sleek, thin and convenient.

These are genuine Italian leather (soft!) and should last a very long time. The soles are thick and grippy. You're not going to slide around in these. The thickness makes them so comfortable to stand/walk in.

The color. Uh. How will you choose?!? I got the rose gold and L. O. V. E them. They go with anything. I would love to have every color 😉, but that ain't happenin' folks.

So, in all, these are by far the most comfortable, best flat I've owned.  I hope this helped any of you who have been going back and forth on grabbing some for yourself!

  2. Thanks for sharing. I have thought about purchasing a pair for a conference this summer. I was wondering if it was worth the money.
