I love the colors of fall. They're so warm and soothing ... and they are best for my hair and skin tone, so I also like to wear them. :)
I recently took down my big full spring/summer flowers from the mantle and decked it out for fall. Now that the weather is cooling off, I finally feel ready to bring the warm colors into our home. I'm sorry, but I just can't get down with pumpkins in 97 degree heat! It confuses my psyche.
Here's my mantle! I find myself staring at it a lot because those colors just draw me in.
Sparkly acorns, golden apples, pheasants, pinecones and a rustic mix - all nestled beside the Autumn Blessings sign ... a simple reminder that my life is blessed. My cozy home with my precious husband and beautiful boys ... blessed.
I'm not big on Halloween decor, per say, (Another thing I can't get down with? Bones.) so I skip the goblins and decorate for Harvest for all of October and November. Levi absolutely loves it and the first week it was up, he told me every single day how pretty the mantle looks. Bless his heart. My constant encourager.
I have a few other things around the house for fall, and maybe I'll share those if I ever get around to taking pictures of them. This is such a gorgeous time of year!
