AHHH!! It's 6 Random Facts!! RUN!!

I am a little weirdo-nutzoid sometimes. I can't help it.

I was tagged by two lovelies to do Six Random Facts About Myself.

Let's begin...

Number One:
I love everything to do with the kitchen. I have an addiction to dishes and cooking is one of my favorite things to do. I can spend hours planning out a meal for a dinner party, or just simply for the two of us. Cooking relaxes me and I love seeing husby’s reaction when he takes his first bite. I never tell him what is for supper – I always make it a surprise. Sometimes that drives him crazy, but I can’t help it. It’s a weird little quirk I have that stems back to our first year of marriage. It makes every supper a fun surprise every night! And I just love seeing his face when I yell, “SUPPER’S READY,” and he comes in with eyes as big as saucers and says, “MMMMMMM – that looks fantastic!” My husby is the sweetest.

Number Two:
Condensation freaks me out entirely. I hate it. Especially milk jug/carton condensation. When we go to the grocery store, I make husby lift the milk onto the conveyer belt and then take it out of the bag when we get home. If no one is with me, I try to avoid buying milk at all cost. I also can’t handle condensation on a cup. Whenever I have a paper or plastic cup, I always have a napkin wrapped around it. I often do this with cans, too. Ugh, condensation is the worst. Oh, and I can’t drink anything without ice. Nothing.

Number Three:
When I was a little girl, I often referred to the times “when I used to be a dog”. I would tell lavish tales of my life as a dog and I think my family was a little scared. My brother always told me to stop.

Number Four:
There are three dreams that I have a lot. One, is that I lose my teeth. I dream that at least three times a month. The second is that it is finals week at college and I suddenly remembered I was enrolled in a class that I NEVER went to all year long. And the third is that I am a Senior in High School and decide to not try out for Cheerleading that year, and everyone is mad at me (I was a cheerleader for 7 years in real life – and yes, I cheered my Sr. year). Isn’t it bizarre that these are my recurring dreams?!

Number Five:
Husby was my first kiss. And only. (I don’t mean he’s just kissed me once, I mean that he’s the only one I have ever kissed, haha!)

Number Six:
I’ve only had about 5 pimples in my entire life and I am fearful that when I get pregnant, I am going to make up for lost time and my face will resemble Mars. AH! Pray with me that does not happen. ;)
I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

Comments

  1. My sister has the same dream about her teeth falling out!!! That is so weird... She has it often just like you said!

And my mom is the same way about ice. She cannot drink a drink without it. Even when we travel, she makes this big ordeal to pack a cooler with ice and if she has canned soda, she brings a paper cup so she can pour to soda in it and add the ice. It drives us all nut because she is doing this while driving down the highway at 80 mph. haha

    Thanks for sharing!

And I am so so jealous of your pimple free face!!

  2. I dream about my teeth falling out too! Not three times a month, but enough to unnerve me.;)
I always dream that I am back in high school and I can't remember my locker combination, and I always forget to put clothes on, so I spend the whole dream trying to cover myself up with my notebook folders....Sigh.....

All of these made me laugh...Especially your brother telling you to stop talking about when you used to be a dog. :)

    This is a great post!

    God Bless,
    Amy:)

  3. I have the exact same dream about college all the time! I get so stressed out, I hate it!

  5. Really - only 5 pimples? I'm jealous!

I can relate to the ice thing. While I don't put them in hot beverages, I always stick a cube or two in milk and orange juice. My husband thinks it is so odd - but it keeps my beverage cold!

  6. My husband was my first and only kiss too! I love that about us.
Don't worry too much about the pimples. I never had many and when I was pregnant my skin was even better than normal.

  7. 1- Me too
    2- That is weird
    3- Also weird
4- I have the teeth and finals dream all the time

  8. the condensation thing totally cracks me up!!! i can't drink things with ice...the big cubes always stick to the bottom of the glass, and when i tip the cup, they hit me in the face and the drink goes everywhere :( its not fun

one of my obsessions is the bed sheets. they HAVE to be perfectly straight, tucked in, and flat, and even across the bed. zack has to have things loose and tossed. its a vicious cycle. i'm pretty good with the whole give/take thing in our marriage, but i am border line OBSESSED with the sheet and blanket issue, so he totally has to give on this one

  9. Those were so interesting! As far as five pimples your entire life...I'm jealous!

You sound like a wonderful entertainer! I'm going to have to get some tips from you. I'm lacking a bit in that department.

  10. I have also had really good skin, (Still do, Thank you, Lord, for these good genes!) even during those awful teen years. Both times I was pregnant my skin was truly lovely. I loved being preggers, and my guess is you will love it too!

  11. Seriously, 5 pimples. That's it?? You suck! hehe!

  14. Love the picture of you! How funny!

The condensation thing cracked me up - I suppose we all have our silly phobias. I have a thing about mayonaisse. If I touch it, I literally FREAK out.

I have dreams about being back in high school too - like I'm going back to have a do-over and get better grades.

Thanks for sharing your random facts. They made me laugh!

  15. That's too funny - I dream about my teeth falling out but I thought it was because I have two false teeth. I was always afraid as a teenager that they would break and I'd look like a hillbilly. I had no idea anyone else in the world dreamed about their teeth falling out! I'm not a super bizarre weirdo after all - well maybe I am, but I'm not alone!

  16. Haha! You're so funny!

  21. You used to be a dog... that's awesome!

You know, I always had really clear skin too... until I turned 29, and then all of a sudden it was AWFUL!!! I don't know what happened.

I'll tell you what though. I got pregnant and within a month - poof! - it all cleared right up.

  22. I don't remember what it means, but I once read that the 'teeth falling out' dream is the most common bad dream we ladies have. I've dreamt it several times over the years.

    ReplyDelete
  23. A dog, ha-ha! What kind of dog were you?

And I agree with the other comments here about your skin being even better when you're pregnant. I don't think you'll have to worry about that.

    ReplyDelete
  24. That is so strange about the dreams. I rarely remember mine..

Girl- That is so awesome about hardly no pimples!

I loved learning more about you.

  25. First of all, your post cracked me up, "when I was a dog..." haha!!

I use to have dreams about my teeth falling out all the time when I was in middle school and the beginning of high school. I read that dreams about your teeth falling out could be a sign of low self-confidence issues, I THINK about looks or something....but I'm not sure. It made sense to me at the time because I was so concerned about being pretty and fitting in.

    And pimple-free face...you are blessed :D

    ReplyDelete
  26. Okay I am laughing about the condensation! That's hysterical! I wonder what that stems from? Funny.
