I Couldn't Even Think Up A Title.

Okay.  So I had no idea it had been over a week since I blogged.  Like .... I completely forgot about it. FORGOT.  I don't think I've ever forgotten my blog.  Let me tell you something, guys.  I have had an "awakening" over this little old internet (concerning my phone and social media and just the massively destructive time waster that it is), that I made some major changes in the new year and the longer I go about these little changes, the more I forget about the internet!  Which is totally the purpose.  And so so GOOD.  On so many levels.  But, I do love blogging and this is one outlet I don't want to let go of - simply because it is a documentation of life!  So when I find myself forgetting about blogging, I have to remind myself that this is important to me so I need to make time for it.  Oh, guys.  I could write a novel here, but I won't.  Right now, anyway.  :)

SO! Let me play catch up a little bit.

I was strolling about Target the other day with these handsome little angel faces, and a lady approached us and said, "They are adorable!  Are they twins?"

Twins.

I looked at them.  Then back at her.  Then back at them.

Speechless.

Thankfully my never-lacking-for-words Mom was with me and she chimed in making the woman feel loved and special and wonderful and brilliant .... as I continued staring at her as if her hair were made of cotton candy and her eyes of gum balls.

I was seriously astounded.

And I need to exhibit more off the cuff grace like my Mom does.  She's good at it.  I tend to stare blankly at people who demonstrate such absurd behavior.

My little Ezzers knocked me in the eye with a wooden top the other day.

It instantly bubbled up and turned red. And now, a week later, it's a lovely hue of ... BLACK.

Makeup doesn't even cover it.

People stare at me and give me sympathy looks like I'm an abused woman.  No joke.  I can see them start to ask me what happened and then they shy away from it.  I want to wear a hat that says, "my baby knocked me with a dreidel ... what of it?"

photo-11

How could such a happy, precious little angel from God manage to do such a thing?

Because he's stronger than an ox and his every move could knock down buildings.  No joke.

I had to go to a birthday party AND a baby shower with this black eye of mine.  I should have worn a shirt with a giant P on it.

Ha.

Hahahahahaha....

That literally made me laugh out loud.

I made myself laugh out loud.  Lame-o! And it's probably the Nyquil talkin'.  Everything's funnier with the nighttime, sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, best-sleep-you-ever-got-with-a-cold medicine.  Right? It probably won't even warrant a smile in the morning, but for now it's downright hysterical.

Oh guys ... we took Levi and Maxwell to the Preforming Arts Center last week for their first real theatre experience.  It was absolutely adorable.  We went to see Peter Pan and they ATE IT UP!  Levi was grinning from ear to ear the entire time.  SO FUN!

Look how precious they looked!

Getting some culture in those babies!

I had quite a handsome little guy on my arm that night. :)  (I turned the picture black and white so my black eye wouldn't jump out at'cha.)

And is this not the sweetest picture in the history of pictures?

Momsy and I had the two cutest dates in town, that's for sure!

Well, everyone in my house is sick-sick-sick except for the "immune system of steel" Husby of mine.  I swear he brings home all these viruses from the hospital and the babies and I can't stay well.  He does his best though - he "scrubs in" before touching either of the kids and always changes his shirt when he gets home.  But man, those tricky little viruses hide and then jump out and latch on us.  We have been sicker this winter than any other.  POOR BABIES! It doesn't help that we are a very "kissy" family. That's why when one of us gets it, we all do.  But we can't help it.  It's in our DNA. I think it's like a special nucleotide or something that we have.  The Kissy Atom.  Husby's just lucky he's built up an immunity.  He's also lucky that I didn't take his medical school exams for him. ;)

Well folks, I'm praying this week brings dry noses, cool foreheads and health that lasts!

Happy Tuesday!

I am a modern day homemaker with a passion for family, cooking, celebrating, decorating, travel, and memory making! The Lord has blessed me with the desires of my heart in my husband and our two sons. We recently built our dream home and cultivating a loving and happy haven for my family is where I find so much joy.

  1. I laughed out loud too and I am not taking medication! It was truly funny. Your eye looks awful but YOU still look gorgeous.

  2. Oh, your poor eye! I can't believe it is bruised so badly. Ty does the same thing as Darin--changes clothes and washes his hands. I imagine they wash their hands the same way--with water and soap all over the place like they are scrubbing in for a procedure or surgery.

  3. I laughed outloud at the staring blankly comment! My husband is deployed and people say the most ridiculous things. I never know what to say, so I just stare!

  4. LOL... A black eye P... That's totally what my husband was for Halloween a few years ago. It was a last minute costume b/c big kid wanted us to dress up too... I thought it was a clever little idea! Hope everyone is on the mend soon!

  5. People ask me all the time if my kids are twins, it's the weirdest thing! Not only is there 2 years between each of the 4, but they look NOTHING alike! My 2nd (5) and my 4th (1) look the most alike, but they can't be twins. It is ridiculous really!
